well i guess it's time to come back. i figured i'd never come back to xi after losing my main. but here i am the tarutaru formerly known as acila. 45 whm 35 blm 30 nin 19 smn. but seeing as how i don't have my character anymore i'd like to ask if someone could get a world pass for me. i would greatly appreciate it. i think i'm gonna be starting over as an elv whm.

I did this BCNM with two friends yesterday night. This is the BCNM that drops Leaping Boots, and yes, they did drop last night. Full details on party setup, strategy, and supply lists (along with rough drop lists) can be found at my LJ.

I hope this is useful for anyone who wants to try out this BCNM in the future. =)

whoa, havent updated this in forever!

lets see... played all weekend a couple weeks back,
got my 36 PLD to 42...
had some of the best parties yet, as is apparent by over 24k exp in a little over 24 hours
played with my MNK a bit...
got my taru to level...9 i think? i dunno but im proud cuz im a sucky mage, lol

hoping to get rank 5 sometime soon
also hoping to do a BCNM...now that im in the 4os i need all new equipment...

Hey everyone. I'm new to this community and of course play FFXI just like you do. ^^

Anyone who has a job at level 34?

I'm currently looking for two permanent members in my half-static party. The three of us are all at level 34 (paladin, red mage, white mage), and the fourth member will be joining us at level 36 (samurai). Preferably we'd like a black mage and a ranger (or two, haha) to join us, though any damage dealing job is welcome. ^^

We tend to party every other night during the weekend, and for most of the day on Saturday.

Please comment or send a /tell to Asiren if you're interested. =)

Dragoon flag quest

My boyfriend and I are planning to take on the dragon for the dragoon flag quest tomorrow at around 8:30 to 9pm Pacific Standard Time. If any of you have already gotten the egg and just need to beat the dragon, you're welcome to join us. Might as well kill a few birds with one stone.

I haven't gotten the egg yet, but I'll be trying to get mine when I get on this afternoon (before 8:30pm since I'm static-ing tonight) or tomorrow. ;P

And yes, I finally made an FFXI icon for myself. ^^

Pet Peeves

I've been noticing some annoying things on our server (they're probably happening to other servers too) and I was wondering if they bothered you too. o_o;

1) The "casinos" that keep spamming the chat with their shouts, especially in Lower Jeuno. I don't know who started this idea, but it's a little annoying to me. >.>

2) Is it just me or is the "new" auction house fee system not really helping to keep the prices down or at least stable? I remember one of the members in my old linkshell complaining that the Erase scroll is around 300k. Now that my white mage is getting close to level 32, that scroll is around 600k or more. o_O; (I'm probably gonna just hunt the NM when I get to a high enough level on one of my jobs.) Maybe I wasn't on FFXI long enough before the update, but the auction house prices seemed more stable with the old system. (Either that or people decided to universally set the prices really high.)

3) People who bought FFXI accounts from people who quit. Now this isn't bad in itself since some people start out fresh, but some people just start playing a "high leveled" job without knowing the basics of the game. My half-static party had a level 30-31 thief who did not know how to do Sneak Attack much less Sneak Attack + Trick Attack. His subjob was an underleveled ranger. o_O;;; Aiyah.

Anyway, what are your pet peeves?

wow, i havent played in a while, been going to see alot of shows, and been playing monster hunter alot. but ive leveled my MNK to 14, my WAR is at 36 i believe, but my PLD is still 34 :(
once i get WAR to 37 i think im just gonna lvl my PLD from then on.
still need to get rank 5 though...

job;blm, its only lvl 6 cuz i havent quite made the transition from galka tank to taru mage yet, lol.

Just curious, but is anyone in need of a shall shell (I have four extra shall shells on my mule) or needs help with a quest/mission? My highest class maybe level 30, but I should be able to help out with easier quests. o_o I do also have random items in my inventory that might help with quests. ^^

Oh, BTW, I post most of my FFXI experiences on my LJ, so I won't be posting them here.

I was revising my user profile, and added FFXI as one of my interests. I was a little curious to see if there was any LJ community for FFXI particularly for my server, and that's how I found this community. =)

Anyway, here are my basic 'stats':

Name: Asiren
Race: Mithra
Rank: 3
Home: Windurst <3
Main Job: This is debatable, but currently it's my level 30 white mage (subjob level 15 black mage). I have the tendency to like any job I play, but, I really like being white mage. The only down side is that I never see the monsters properly since I'm usually far away. ;_;
Other jobs: lvl 21 war, lvl 15 thf, lvl 12 mnk, lvl 24 blm

I've started the quests for samurai, ranger, and summoner so far, and I'm currently leveling up my alchemy skill. (I'm only a recruit in the alchemy guild at the moment.) I also do a bit of clothcrafting, fishing, and bonecrafting though I do have interest in pretty much all craft guilds.

I've been leveling my white mage for a while, and currently thinking about what melee class I should level up as a sort of secondary class. (Being a white mage does get a bit boring. ;P ) I am in a linkshell, however, given that I'm usually the lowest member in the linkshell, I'm not very active in it. =X I blame it on my lack of experience in FFXI. ^^
