Community Info

This is an icon contest community solely for lyrical challenges featuring images from Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, and Eternal Calm. Each week, lyrics to a song will be posted, and members will be able to create icons using the provided lyrics. At the end of the submissions period, voting will go up, members will then be able to vote on their favorites, and a winner will be announced. Please read the rules before joining/submitting/voting/etc., and be sure to stick around!

→ Only icons featuring images from Final Fantasy X, X-2, and the story Eternal Calm will be allowed. Icon submissions featuring other games will be disqualified.
→ By chorus, we mean that this is a lyrical challenge community. Icons must contain at least three consecutive words from the provided lyrics.
→ You are allowed to submit two icons per theme, but remember that if one of them breaks the rules it will be disqualified.
→ Respect your mods and fellow members. Any drama/wank will result in immediate banning.
→ You must be a member in order to submit.
→ You may not post your icon anywhere until after winners have been announced.
→ Voting for yourself or getting friends/sockpuppets to vote for you is not allowed.
→ Only icons made specificially "fresh" (aka new) for the challenge can be entered.
→ Please be sure that all icons submitted follow LJ standards (100x100/40kb or less)
→ Do not take icons for use until after winners have been announced. How would you know how to credit otherwise?
→ Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. On the third warning, you will be banned.

This community runs on a Tuesday - Saturday schedule:

Tuesday → a new challenge is posted
Saturday → voting is posted
Monday → winners are announced

Voting runs Saturday to Monday. We follow the "three point system" here. This means that your choice for first place gets 3 points, your choice for second gets 2, and your choice for third gets 1. Each week (participation willing) there will also be a special category to vote on. When voting, please leave your votes in a comment on the specified entry like so:
