Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday season!

It's been quiet because of the holidays, but things should start picking up again in the next week or so.

For now, I just wanted to remind you to sign this petition for Les Moonves from CBS viewers!

If you write fanfiction, I want to point you in the direction of a new fic exchange located at [info]mogulsquee. It'll be a fun way to keep involved with fandom as your televisions change over from the brilliant, scripted programming we all love to reruns and a deluge of the reality and game shows we all loathe (well, most of them anyway...).

(And, lastly, as a reminder from your Jericho liaison, please please please remind people that watching new, scripted programming that was scheduled before the strike and thus, is not replacement programming, is okay to watch!)

Carol Barbee Interview [Dec. 16th, 2007|11:25 pm]

IGN posted a great interview with Carol Barbee, executive producer/showrunner of two CBS mid-season replacements, Jericho and Swingtown. The beginning talks about the future of Jericho, but it goes on to discuss the strike and what it really means for the future of the industry. You can read it here.

Also, I wanted to post this article which was originally posted in [info]wga_supporters. It's a really great piece on the strike and touches on exactly why it is so important to not only the writers, but to the writers/actors/etc who will follow in their footsteps and the entire entertainment industry.

Call To Action: The Moguls seem to have missed our point... [Dec. 16th, 2007|12:48 am]

I'm posting this message from [info]wga_supporters where[info]d_dangerlove originally posted it since it applies not only to CSI, but to all CBS fans:

After yesterday's incident with the pencil delivery and the LA Sheriff's deputies, CSI fans got to talking and came up with a plan to send pencils to "our" Mogul, Les Moonves, with this message "You, like these pencils, are missing the point.  Fans support the WGA."

We are asking for your assistance in helping Les Moonves get the point.  Easy instructions (we have done all the work, you need a pencil, envelope, paper and a stamp) are behind the cut, as are the addresses for all the Moguls in case you want to send a pencil to the rest of them as well.

Jericho in a Nutshell [Dec. 7th, 2007|09:31 pm]

This isn't exactly strike related, but it is of interest to old, new and potential Jericho Rangers. CBS is notorious for under-advertising shows that deserve it, but they seem to have already started advertising Jericho's second season. They posted this video to youtube yesterday: Jericho in a nutshell. Great way to get people caught up before season two (though there are spoilers so if you had any intention of watching the first season, I'd skip this)! (Obviously, I recommend you watch the entire season, but if not, this will certainly do!)


Remember, nuts helped save Jericho and pencils can help support the writers!

Currently, there are over 489,000 pencils sent to media moguls. If you didn't purchase any yet, please do so! Only a dollar a box! Let's make that number hit 500,000! (If anyone knows of a CBS show offering incentives to fans who donate, please post here!)

Whether you come from a CBS drama like Jericho, Moonlight, Ghost Whisperer, Numb3rs, Cold Case, a larger fandom like CSI or Criminal Minds, a CBS Comedy, or Veronica Mars (b/c you know you're a fan of Moonlight's Jason Dohring), this is the place for you!!
