| About: | Tired of only hearing about the bad!fic overrunning fanfiction.net (aka "The Pit of Voles")? We all know that there is some very good fan fiction archived at fanfiction.net, so let's hear about it for a change! Post your good!fic recommendations here. Recs sorted by category are here. The Rules: 1. Do NOT recommend your own fic. 2. All recs MUST include: title, author, fandom, link to fic, what the fic is about (briefly). 3. Useful, but not required: rating, pairings (if any), warnings (spoilers behind lj-cut), anything you would like to say about the story you're recommending. It would be great if you said a few words about why you think others will enjoy the story. 4. NO chatfic, netspeak, script format or anything else that violates fanfiction.net's TOS. 5. The fic must be archived at fanfiction.net. 6. For now, at least, the fic must be in English. 7. If you disagree that a fic belongs here, politely tell us why in the comments. "It suXxors!!1" is not an appropriate rebuttal. 8. Any fandom. Any genre. Any pairing (or no pairing -- gen fic is extremely welcome). Any rating other than NC-17 (which is not allowed on ff.net). Any length, from drabble to novel. 9. NO FLAMING. Be excellent to one another. ::air guitar:: 10. Rules may be amended by the mods as needed. 11. If posting multiple recs, you may post them in one entry. However, if you're reccing fic in multiple fandoms, please post no more than 5 fandoms per entry. Otherwise, the mod may not be able to properly add your recs to memories. Note that the restriction applies only to fandoms, not fics. 12. Be kind to the flist. Place long entries behind an LJ-cut. 13. Tags: Please tag your entries. If you need a tag that is not available, please comment and ask for a mod to add the tag(s). 14. Spread the word! We can never have too much good!fic to read. :) Good!fic only, please. If a story is riddled with spelling errors, bad punctuation, and looks like it was translated into English by a semi-literate Namibian penguin using Babelfish and a Chinese-to-Swahili dictionary, it does not belong here.
