Yup, aside from the FF9 playarts, there's these two, too! ^^ Aren't they just adorable? X3 If they're following the Itadaki FF characters, then Eiko should appear soon, but I'm hoping that they release others. I really want Garnet and Kuja figures like that. ....And everyone else from FF9, too XD;;;

Summary: “Have I not already told you that surprising me is nearly impossible?” Beatrix asked the moment she was left alone with the sorcerer.
“Yes, dear General, you have.” Kuja replied, turning his icy gaze on her. “But what sort of sorcerer would I be if I didn’t at least try?” The look on his face as he spoke seemed somehow menacing and cordial at the same time, but Beatrix wasn’t sure how that was possible. Maybe it was just an illusion meant to throw her off, or maybe just a trick of the candle light. Whatever it was, it made her fearful of what ‘surprises’ this man had in store for her.

A/N: Um. This was conceived in 2005, making it four years since I’ve written and posted anything Final Fantasy IX. Back in 2005, it was written for memorysong's birthday present but since she lives with me and thus the pressure was off, I never finished it. Maybe sharing it with all of you will get me to finish what I’d planned for this: a multi-chaptered, drabble-ish story celebrating our favourite characters, during the rebuilding of Alexandria. Hello people, its a pleasant surprise to find a FFIX community here. Where I come from, people are not too keen in 9, deeming it weakest of the series... but 9 is cool imo, pays homage to the previous fFs and has a constructive and rich storyline which teaches each us of never to take Life for granted =) Anyways, I am here to share my fic with everyone:

Description:
Story takes place after Kuja 'dies' in FFIX... he awakes to find himself in FF7 world under the scrutiny of none other than Sephiroth! What does the silver haired general want, and what does it mean for our silver haired genome? Will he cause more trouble, or will he be able to help Sephiroth, and prevent the tragedies of FF7 from happening? How wld life in a modern world be for someone fr FFIX universe? =) I promise this isnt another plotless writing, it does have plot, and I appreciate criticism!

The year is 1874.
The Heterodyne Boys are gone and, despite the War being over, Europa is plagued with chaos. Rogue machines and monsters terrorize the countryside, and revenants, the shambling servants of the Other, threaten travelers and towns alike. The vast stretches of land between cities, the Wastelands, have become hostile to human life, and town populations swell as people seek refuge inside their walls.
Brassburg was once an uneventful little city in southern Austria, nestled in the foothills of the Alps. Lately, however, it has become a haven to wanderers, adventurers of all stripes, minor sparks on the run, and all manner of people just looking to hide out until everything blows over. With the rise in population, the city has struggled to keep up, but overcrowding has become a problem in all sectors as the city scrambles to accommodate more and more citizens within its walls. The streets in all districts have naturally become somewhat less safe once the sun goes down, most noticeably in the poorer sectors, but many find themselves more willing to face the dangers within the city rather than try to survive the chaos without.
The city itself is ruled by a small council, though it was once presided over by the house of Amadeus Brass III. Bureaucracy has caused stagnation in the legal process, which only exacerbates the problems the city is now facing. The hospitals are full, the housing is inadequate, and it takes weeks to get anything done; the citizenry is, for better or for worse, pretty much on its own. Vigilantism has stepped up to ease some of the pressure on the already-stressed police force; while technically illegal, most are content to look the other way rather than expend resources combating what most of the population views as their allies. Of course, those unhindered by the intricacies of the legal system are restricted only by their own personal versions of 'justice'... but it's a small price to pay for the illusion of safety.

So, it's random question time: do you ever rename the characters? And if so, what do you name them? I don't usually rename them ever (except for Garnet, who usually gets named after kitchen utensils. She's been Spoon, Spork, and Spatula all at some point...) but on my new file I decided to name them all after Pokemon. XD If there was space for eight letters, Steiner totally would have become Magikarp.
