Welcome to Final Fantasy VII Heterotica, a writing community for erotic/romantic fanfiction surrounding the FFVII, Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus fandom. Any and all types of writings are welcomed, such as short stories, one-shots, round robins, role-play (co-opted), ect.

There are only a few stipulations that must be adhered to when writing for or posting to this community. As noticed by the journal’s title, this community is for heterosexual writings only. This is absolutely set in stone. And for God’s sake, please don’t make the assumptions that we’re straight laced bitches who just want to be snobbish and bash any sort of slash fiction. Don't be childish. We decided on a strictly homophobe community because there are already close to nine million communities for slash fanfiction, because decent boy/girl fanfiction is such a rarity, and because it’s just our cup ‘o tea.

On Joining and General Etiquette

1. Mod = God. The moderator’s word is final. If anyone has a problem with this, solutions will be swift and absolute. Meaning if you are asked to change, delete, or otherwise edit one of your posts, have the decency to just do it. The alternative is not an option you really want to pursue, trust me.
2. You must be a member to either post or read the submitted works. This is not optional. The community has moderated membership, meaning that requests to join are emailed to the maintainer and must be approved before the submitted may be allowed membership.
3. You must be 18 years of age or older. You must also have your birthday displayed in your journal profile. If it is not present and you request membership, it will not be granted. Sorry.
4. Be nice. While this is a community for het-fanfic, some of the other members might not support the same pairing(s) you do, and conflicts can occur. If everyone remembers that we’re all here for the enjoyment of the stories, things will go smoothly. If you don’t agree with someone’s choice of paring, that’s fine. Just be respectful and know that they might not support yours.
5. Flamers will be executed without question and then ignored forevermore. Critique is usually welcomed by any artist, be it a writer or another form, but please be respectful when doing so. Remember that we’re all here by choice and no one likes a meanie-head. Act like an adult.

On Posting

1. First and foremost: Things Generally Not Allowed. Ever.

Any and all stories featuring the following: Yaoi/Yuri, Incest (this will get you slain by the moderators), Extreme Violence, Snuff (which is different from Character Death), Necrophilia, Pedophilia, Scat, Golden Showers, Tentacle Play (this will also get you flayed by the moderators) and/or any other type of fetish featuring disgusting bodily fluids or parts.

Rape. There are several schools of thought on this subject. Generally it’s frowned upon, mainly because of the trauma involved, but there have been some well-written works with it as a story point. If you write a rape fiction just for the point of writing it because it’s omg!tehcoolz, seek professional help and leave here now. But if it’s a focal point in your story and progresses the plot, the mods can be persuaded to read it and decide whether it’s appropriate for posting in this community. I would also advise you to be damned sure your characters in the story are keeping to canon, because retribution will be indiscriminate if you submit to the mods a horribly written rape fic that’s completely bogus.

2. When posting a story, please include the following in the main entry:

Title: If your work is untitled at the time of posting, that’s fine. Merely using “Untitled” will suffice.

Pairing: (If any. One-shots are allowed, too.) Example: Vincent x Tifa

Rating: R, Hard R, NC-17 (graphic descriptions), the list goes on. We could be nice and write a thorough glossary of terms, but seriously, most of us know the differences by now.

Summary. Self-explanatory. Just don’t give everything away in one sentence.

Feel free to use the text box for the formatting to make life a bit easier.

3. All stories must be placed under a Live Journal cut. See link for more information.

4. If you’re posting a multi-scene story and have to resort to chapters, please provide links to and from the previous entry. This is so readers can easily find the story’s beginning. No one wants to start in the middle.

5. Spell-check is your friend. Please, for all our sakes, have some pride in what you write. Tact is also muchly encouraged. Trust me when I say that no one wants to read a sloppily written pornographic fiction dealing with their loved characters.
