This is the community for the game Final Fantasy 7 - Dirge of Cerberus. The game takes place 1 year after the events of Advent Children and the main character is Vincent Valentine. The rest of Final Fanatsy crew also appear to aid vincent in his battle agaianst the Deep Ground Soldiers who were created by the late Presidnt Shin-Ra. They have recently surfaced after being trapped in Midgar due to the Meteor Crisis 3 years ago. They begin to raid towns and Vincent seems to have some connection to the DGS but the reason is unknown.
The basic gameplay is styled after third person shooters but there is also an element of an RPG style as well.
The game is formatted for the PS2 and was released on the 26th January 2006 in Japan. There has been no confirmation of a American or European release yet.
