This is a little community dedicated to making ff7 avatars if you haven’t guessed this already. Well yes, you make avatars and you enter them into my weekly contest, people vote and then you could possibly and hopefully win. What do you win? Well I can’t give you money, or a pool on your roof =( but I can make a nice, little banner that you can flash around and say HEY LOOK WHAT I WON!!1@ I decided to start this community because ff7 is mah favorite game/ff evar and I thought it deserved it’s own award community for those who like to specifically make avatars for this game.

Here is how it works, every week I throw out a theme, hopefully you guys can all help me think of themes if you so desire something specific. Themes include things like, “love”, “hope”, “blue” or I can throw things out like you have to use certain lyrics in the image etc. The idea is to keep to the theme and do your very best making your avatar!

  1. One or two submission(s) per member unless otherwise stated.
  2. All avatars (icons) must have to be related to Final Fantasy VII and all of it’s relations. Meaning you can make avatars from the following, Advent Children, Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, Last Order etc.. and cameo related games, as long as it’s the characters from FFVII.
  3. Avatars must be LJ compatible: 100x100 in size and 40KB.
  4. Fan art is allowed in submissions, try your best though to give a source where you found your fan art, if you don’t, do not worry cause I download fan art myself and never remember where I got it sometimes ^.~
  5. I’m trying to keep this community as fair as possible so please don’t get 300 of your friends on your list to vote for you, cause I’ll find out ^_~
  6. Don’t steal any of the avatars made here, please ask!
  7. Please try to keep your avatars fresh, meaning not previously made and shown around everywhere. Try to make them specifically for the contest!
  8. Keep your avatars as tasteful as possible.
  9. NO CHEATING, or BIAS behavior whatsoever =/
  10. HAVE FUN! OF COURSE! =D

Friday after voting is posted I give out a theme, you have until Friday @ 10:00pm the next week to submit for that week’s theme. After which no more avatars can be submitted, and comments are screened so no one will know who’s submitting what until voting is over. So don’t worry, if you’re new at this, just submit in the “comments” section, everything will be okay! Just make sure you’re logged in, and ONLY submit in the post where I write, “submit”…I’ll let you all know though. The format for submission goes like this:

Will take place from Friday after submission ends to Sunday @ 5:00pm Pacific only members of the community will be able to vote. And simply you vote by commenting in the post I mark “voting”, with your favorites.

PLEASE make sure that these “favorites” are what you think are the best, how the theme was handled not just because you like/love/worship Aeris and is on it, or Tifa, or Cloud humping Sephiroth. Please be honest about your votes, not bias… if I find out biases are going on, I’m gonna be mad. I keep track of IP numbers as well, keep that in mind.

Voting goes from first favorite (which has the most points - 3 - in the overall system) to least favorite (counting at 1 point). Every week depending on the amount of submissions, we have a Special Category which is one seperate icon voted on according to which changes every week. Categories are as follows:

Best Adaption - an icon you think handled the theme the best.
Best Text - an icon you think has the most creative text, wording, or positioning.
Best Color - an icon you think has the best color scheme, or colors.
Most Creative - an icon you think is the most original, handled differently but still fits the theme well.
Best Image - an icon you think chose the best image to represent the theme
