So, my brother has brought home the dvd collection of Firefly, borrowed from a friend of his who is a fan of Buffy (and, let's face it, all of his friends are Buffy fans, some of them just pretend to never ever have heard of the show) and so I thought i would ask Julia or Nancy to convince me of why I should start watching this show -- because I feel like you both have told me to watch it, but it takes a lot of time and money (well, just time, really) to get involved in a new television show, and I want to know whether it's worth it.
Also, we can play a game: what grammatical faux-pas did I just commit in that brief paragraph? [that our lovely Poems Poets Poetry T.F. whose name escapes me used to correct like 10 times in each of my papers?]
And why is it "faux pas" when it must come from the French "one ought not to" which is "il faut pas"?
This post is really stressing me out.
Also, is Van Buren Avenue just the place where you live whose magical sounds coalesce into a beautiful symphony in your apartment, or is it a band? Because it's a nice name for a band.
What I'm saying here, people, is that we should start a band. I mean, we're not in college anymore, so it's time to grow out of the a cappella genre. Expand our horizons. For those of you with real jobs, wouldn't you like to burst into your supervisor's office, and say "Dude, I'm totally out of here for good, I'm going to go be a rockstar!"
Although, I suppose my current path to rockstardom via mathematics is a safer bet.
