| Description: | Fictional worlds of female submission, a creative writing community |
First:
This is an adults-only community; you MUST be 18 years old or over to join, and have your birthday showing on your profile. If you're not 18 yet, come back when you are.
About this Community:
This community is for those who enjoy stories of settings in which males are dominant, and some or all females are enslaved. Here you can post or read stories of worlds slightly removed from our twenty-first century, similar in many respects but different in that one:
Women, in these stories, are slaves. Property. Possessions. Maybe not all, but at least some.
Some people call this the "natural order", that it's natural for men to dominate the weaker females. To take this a step further, in some settings the enslaved females are sold, traded, rented or lent. They are human, but a secondary class of human, whose position in life is on their knees: to fetch and carry, to serve and care, to be used in every way, including -- or especially -- sexually.
Some people will point out that this is very close to the status of women throughout most of the world's history. Quite correct -- and that's why some feel it's natural.
Some will point out that this leaves no room for dominant women or submissive men. Also true. I make no apologies for this because I need make none. If you want such a community, by all means go and create it. Here I'm creating the place I want.
Do we really think the world should be this way? Certainly not for everyone. Many people today would wither and die in such a setting. But others would thrive.
In these worlds, the women are beautiful, sexy, intelligent and submissive -- yet most are spirited, unbroken. The men are strong, wise, intelligent and fair-minded -- well, most of them. Of course, there must be some bad people, because stories need conflict.
If you read a story, or part of one, feel free to tell us what you think. This is literary critiquing, people, so be fair, but honest. If you have a constructive suggestion, that's OK, but no flaming. One nasty critique gets you warned, two gets you banned.
If you want to post a story, or part of one, great! A really skilled writer can probably work enough background exposition into the text that it will explain itself. If not -- or even if you did -- it's OK to give us a few paragraphs of introduction first.
Three more things:
●Don't post a story if you can't handle at least a little constructive criticism. If you want nothing but undiluted praise, show your story to your mother. If that doesn't work, maybe you shouldn't write stories your mother would disapprove of.
● Don't use somebody else's world or setting without permission. With that said, you also need to keep in mind that outside this community we have no power to enforce that rule, and you may find some of your ideas used elsewhere. That's a chance you take. (But your writings, even posted here, have copyright protection. Any member caught reposting in part or full without the author's permission will be publicly defamed, banned, and haunted in his/her dreams by very large slugs with attorney's heads.)
● This is not the place to debate feminism. This is a place for fantasy. It's fine if you don't believe in the ideas presented here; leave your feminist hat at the door and enjoy the fantasies. If you can't do that, just don't come in.
Story limits:
No sex with animals. No sex with small children. No "snuff" (gratuitous sexual murder). This is not a place for sex horror stories. You may see nonconsensual sex or rape here, but that doesn't mean we support it as A Good Thing To Do, any more than Agatha Christie favored murder.
If you are posting a multi-chapter story, please number the segments so people can figure out what's going on. Please tag your stories in the following way: Author, Title, Chapter number. Also, please put postings over about 800 words behind an LJ cut.
To new readers: We have a number of serialized stories going here. You'll want to go back to the beginning of each one, because most chapters don't stand real well as individual stories. Don't hesitate to add your own comments for each, even months after. Some of us do go back and read them!
Oh, yeah: No Gor stories.
Copyright Info:
Under the Copyright Act of 1974, anything you write is copyrighted the moment you write it. You don't need to register it with the Patent & Trademark Office, you don't need to send a copy to the Library of Congress; you don't even need to put a Copyright symbol or (c) on it, with the author name and date, though it's a lot stronger if you do. Posting your creative works on the Web DOES NOT INVALIDATE YOUR COPYRIGHT, though I have encountered morons who think it does. The only way your copyright is invalidated is if you SPECIFICALLY STATE THAT THIS WORK IS IN PUBLIC DOMAIN.
Again: All these works are under copyright by their respective authors. Any unauthorized reproduction or distribution is forbidden, and is illegal. Please contact the author of any works you wish to use, in whole or in part, to arrange for appropriate permission.
Basic Posting:
● All submissions with a word count of 800 words or more must be placed under an LJ cut. You will be notified through a rejection notice to place your piece under a cut or if approved, you will be asked to place the piece under a cut. If this request is ignored, the piece will be deleted.
● Please tag your entries with your name, the title of the piece and the sequence (Chapter 1, Chapter 2 etc.)
● In serial postings, you may want to include a link to previous chapters/scenes in the story. This is not required, but is helpful to the readers, especially those who have not read the previous entries.
● In your first posting, it may be helpful to give us a brief overview of your world. Some pieces do this within the body of the work, but not everyone has the skill to fit expository seamlessly into the story.
● Please refer back to the profile page periodically. The Mods will attempt to keep the community up to date on changes, but informational posts may be missed.
