I may participate in this round, and the character I would most like to write about is:

bakatulip requested The Crossdressing slayer from Tales of the Slayers and a female vampire. I hopes this suits! It did not go in the intended direction at all, I have to say. But what can you say to a stubborn fic like this?

Warning: I can’t say that this will make any sense if you have not read Tales of the Slayers. However, it may be enough to know that Edward was formally known as Miss Elizabeth Weston. It’s 1813, she is the current slayer in England and dresses as a man to make her life easier, and I gave the Watcher (who was unnamed in the book) the name William. I do not claim to have captured the language patterns of 19th century England at all. Apologies for that!

Rating: PG-13, mostly for violence.

Sadly, over half of us do not have quite so much win. I know that lots of the prompts this round could inspire fic that takes more time to work on, so I am with the understanding. (Also, have 0 legs to stand on in terms of laying the modly smackdown.)

So everyone take a deep breath, look at your prompt and/or WiP and/or desperate plotbunnies again, and try to finish as soon as you can. I'll see what state the round 23 masterlist is in on Tuesday and decide about round 24.

And I think from now on, we can play with two-week deadlines and see if they help.
