I came across an interesting idea over at cre8Buzz. There's a user over there who is asking people to write on feminism on April 3rd, grab a graphic to link to her blog, and let her know so she can add them to her list. Just figured I'd pass the information along here.

According to wikipedia there doesn't appear to be although I'm now intrigued by Saint Mary of Egypt, whose Saint's Day it is.

I'm not sure an ankh is appropriate to use in this context. It has nothing to do with feminism.

I honestly don't know why they did that. Would hate to see people pass on the idea simply because of graphics choices, so here's a few other options:

My guess is that the originator of the meme didn't know the difference between that and a Venus symbol.

Here is a response from the originator of all this on why the ankh. Not a crazy reason, and I actually have a friend who got a tattoo of an ankh for about the same reason.

Oh good. I like finding out the reasons for something. I'm not sure I would be completely comfortable using an ankh so I'm glad she's taken the questions on board and is providing an alternative.
