The stillness movement was started by ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} quebelly. Kudos to her!Stillness means that the icons cannot be animated, ever. Creator: irdaModerators: fire_iconsBanner makers: all_malocks, fire_iconsThe Contest: [x] Every Tuesday the moderator will put up two challenges, one of which will feature a specific actor/actress, and one more general one. Examples: A pairing, a screen capture/scan/photo, a certain colour, a b&w challenge, a cropping challenge, etc. [x] Each member can enter three icons per challenge. [x] If you plan on doing both, please enter all icons at once. They're easier to keep track of that way! The Rules: [x] Icons must fit the Live Journal standards: No bigger than 100x100 px and 40 KB, in either JPG, GIF or PNG format. [x] The contest will be anonymous, so please do not post your icons elsewhere, including your own journal. Also, do not include your username in the icon filename. [x] You may only enter brand new, original icons. Not icons you've already made, or use bases/blanks from other people. Make them from scratch! [x] This community is dedicated to the LotR cast, not the characters. So please do not feature them as Aragorn, Legolas, Arwen, etc. *NEW* [x] No animation. Duh? [x] If all the rules stated above are not followed, the icon(s) will be disqualified. Entering the Contest: [x] You must be a member of the community to enter. [x] Post the icons in a comment to the challenge post, in both IMG SRC form and URL form. Make sure to host them on a server that allows hotlinking! I recommend either Photobucket or Greatest Journal. If your icon doesn't show up, it won't be featured in the contest. [x] Comments will be screened. Timeline: (Not sure about the time differences? Check here.) [x] Challenges go up: Tuesday. [x] Deadline: Tuesday at noon, GMT. [x] Voting: Tuesday-Wednesday. [x] Results posted: Thursday. Voting & Results: [x] Many communities seem to prefer voting via comments, but I'll be sticking with LJ polls. Maybe I'm just lazy that way. [x] The amount of icons you may vote for in each poll will depend on how many entries were posted that week. They will range from 1-3 for each challenge. [x] Anyone can vote, but don't ask people to come vote for you. That is just incredibly lame. [x] You also can't vote for your own icons. That way you'll get disqualified. [x] Every week, one icon from each challenge will receive a Mod's Choice award. [x] When I post the results, I will ask if the winners want banners.
