Horses Are Revolting!
Perhaps this is one of those "only in New York" stories
In the wake of the tragic death of young filly Eight Belles at Saturday's Kentucky Derby, one New York City horse decided to voice his opinion on the whole "horses are the slaves of people" thing--he threw the cop that was riding him, and then made his way home alone to his stable eight blocks away. I know some of you are having a hard time parsing these sentences. Manhattan, cop on a horse, stable? You see, we only let the tourists see 11 miles of Manhattan. There are an additional 40 miles with farms, and horses and stables, flying cars, rainbows and unicorns. I'm not kidding! Aldo, the police horse, has been on the job for about a year. The officer, Martin Brown, suffered a few cuts.
