IMPORTANT - READ FIRST.

plagiarism is the false presentation of someone else's writing as one's own. in the case of copyrighted work, plagiarism is a federal crime and punishable by law. this community is a place for aspiring writers to share their ORIGINAL fiction, which means that they put a lot of effort and time into creating something that is THEIRS. any attempt to steal someone’s work, whether it is a sentence, a paragraph, or the whole story will NOT BE TOLERATED. if an author chooses to post copyrighted work, any act of plagiarism can be taken into the hands of the law.

that being said, authors must post their work at their own risk. we, the maintainers, will work our hardest to keep this place safe through moderated membership and whatever other ways we can!

an original fiction (&prompt) community [inspired by the beautiful world of we_are_cities]

original fiction contains original ideas and original characters, all that stem from their home, a writer's mind. this is a home away from home for those stories.

[x] prompts will be posted twice a week - they are meant to trigger something beautiful or tragic or silly or funny or whateverotheremotion in you that may lead to you writing! there will be no deadlines for these prompts, post whenever your writer's block lets you. ;) if a story is posted in response to these prompts, please tag your posts with the date of the prompt!

[x] posts do not have to be inspired by prompts - write as your heart desires!

[x] when posting, feel free to use your own formatting, as long as you place the actual story under a cut. :) things to add would be the title, rating, word count, and pairing as well as any other additions you'd like - if you can't be hassled making your own format for this, here's a little something that may help!

[x] submissions will be moderated to ensure high quality fiction is posted. we aren't trying to be elitist! we just encourage that if you are unsure about your story [spelling, grammar, format], to consult one of many available betas that would be willing to proofread and give it that final push to the top! :)

[x] you may post directly to the community, or link to wherever your story is, we don't mind! but please friends-lock all your posts in the actual community.
