Welcome to fbslashelite.

Intro.

You might be wondering why we've created an elite, members only community for Football Slash. Below you will find our answer to that.

This community was created after there was an invasion at footballslash. New members flooded the community with all sorts of posts that were either completely off topic, extremely fangirlish, or badly constructed in the sense of grammar and spelling.

We appreciate that sometimes people like that kind of thing, however, sometimes other people like to get through their flist without getting annoyed/irritated/upset by ignorance/grammar/stupidity, and so we have created a mini refuge. We don't bite, and we just enjoy common sense, football, a good laugh, and beautiful people.

To protect ourselves from the things that we mentioned above, we've made this community Members Only.

As with a lot of other "elite" communities, all we ask is that you give us something to go on. We don't mean exams or essays, but we'd like that you post us a little introduction including the following:

This will initially be read through and, should your membership be approved, we ask that you then repost the intro so that everyone can meet - or become reacquainted! - with you, but it is not obligatory.

Please put "sensible" in the title of your intro post so that we know you've read the rules.

We know a lot of you already know us and each other, but humour us and yourselves - the reason, after all, that we're doing this is that a lot of us wanted somewhere along similar guidelines to play in, and this, really, is all we're trying to create!

And so here be the rules....
1. Think before you post. If it's derogatory to anyone, at all, save it for your own LJ. It will get you banned. There are plenty of other places you can vent and bash. Respect each other's opinions and team loyalties.

2. No icons at all times. There's various icon communities for that. Desktops and manips are allowed, but just like the fics they have to be of some kind of standard, which basically means you have to know your way around Photoshop and similar programs.

3. Picture posts are allowed, however your posts needs to contain more than at least 10 pictures. The main reason for you to be making a picture post would be to pimp a certain pairing - just the pictures will not do. Explain to everyone why your pairing is so wonderful :) Original pictures only. All picspams are to be LOCKED. No reposting of other people's pictures that have been posted here before. If you want to reference them, link the post. Credit the source where you got the pictures from!

4. Fic. Spellcheck it. No excuses whatsoever. If English isn't your first language or you aren't confident with it - and many of us fall into that category, and there is nothing at all wrong with either - you could get a beta to help you with spelling and grammar if this is not your strongest forte. Plenty of people are happy to do this and a second opinion can make all the difference - it's easy if you've spent hours working on something to miss the obvious! All fic must be posted with headers and disclaimers. If you're looking a little guidance on how to write slash, we point you to this wonderfully helpful post by ninamalfoy.

5. Commenting. It's, really, a courtesy if you enjoy something to pass that on to the writer! Criticism perhaps is best saved for if it is requested, compliments or flailure are nice but do try and give the writer a bit of a clue about what you liked if you possibly can!

6. Being as this is a football slash comm, we ask that your fics are, well, football slash? That is, male/male. If het or other combinations are mentioned, then by all means, that's fine, or even if the slash is only just about implied, that's fine too, we're certainly not asking for everything to be all out porn, but we do ask that fic is always, always, predominantly male/male orientated. Same goes for posting pictures, male/male only.

7. We do NOT - under any circumstance - except pairing nicknames. Examples of these include: Cristyne, Sernando, Fabsillas and etc. NO. Not ever! The proper way to refer to a pairing is to be done as followed; C.Ronaldo/Rooney, Fernando/Sergio or Fabio Cannavaro/Iker Casillas.

Breaking one of these rules will first get you a yellow card. Make the same mistake again and you'll receive a red card - which means you'll be banned. Derogatory behaviour and/or silly teenspeak will result into receiving a straight red.
