Please try to stick to these, just to keep the comm as clean and functional as possible.
Try to fill as many of these categories as you can:
Title; Author; Rating; Band/s; Pairing/s; "Warnings" (eg, mpreg etc); and then a basic-to-detailed summary of the fic you're looking for.
Subject lines are your friend. And they make looking for fics a lot quicker. If you know something was asked for recently, it's easier to just look at the page summary or the calendar than to go trawling through tags and memories. Please put a useful subject line that summarises your search. For example, Pete/Spencer D/S. |
In order to keep everything organised and easy to find, there is a tagging system.
Before you ask for something, check the tags to make sure it hasn't been asked for before. If it has but there were no replies, then you can make the request again. We don't want a million entries asking for the same thing.
If you aren't going to tag your posts, then be sure to be as clear as you can so we can add the tags correctly.
Specify a band, for example band:panic at the disco (capitalization/punctuation isn't necessary, but please make sure you all use the same tag, we don't want 3 different tags for the same thing);
Next are pairings, listed alphabetically, and please no ship-names. pairing:brendon/spencer is acceptable. Brencer, Ryden and any other name-smushes will get the entry deleted pronto.
Ratings can also be tagged, as can "types" of fics, for example type:mpreg or type:angst;
If you're looking for a specific fic, then add that to the tags! ie, fic:beating hearts baby.
Oh, and if you really want, you can ask for het, in which case, it should be specified in the tags as type:het.
