New release of Jix
Jix version 0.2.2 is now available for download.

Actually it was available yesterday, but LJ was down.

This version remembers where you were last looking for pictures, can resume a folder upload after failure, and several other minor improvements and bug fixes.

It is also now open source.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

Hi! Just to let you know I've tried Jix on SuSE Linux 10.2 and it works. It pops up a garbled box while starting up, before it asks for username/password, but I see no other problems. Thanks for a great job!

Glad you like it. 8~)

I think the box you're referring to is a small splash screen that tells you what it's doing as it starts up. It should just have an icon and some text. In what way is it garbled?

When Jix starts up, it displays a small rectangular box with a red J in it and the text "checking login details". Also the login box pops up. After I fill in the login info, the small box gets several status messages in it, but they overwrite each other, so all the texts are on top of each other and you can't read them. That is all. Then the main Jix window appears and it works like it should.

Thanks for the info. That's the expected behaviour. If things are running slow enough, you can read the messages to see what's going on. If they run fast enough that you can't read them, that's good and you won't need something to read to pass the time. 8~)

Those messages may go in a future version.
