Help needed
Hi there,
This is my first post here but I have been an avid reader for a while.
I have a slight problem and I am hoping you gals might be able to help me out.
I was at a conference when I saw a girl who had a bag that is very very apt for me. However being super shy I was too nervous to draw attention to myself and go and ask where she had found it.
I clocked the design/style and what was on the bag in hopes that I would be able to track it down- no luck and I am desperate to find it.

So here goes...

I am looking for a shopper/tote/book bag in what looked like oilcloth or pvc it is in the style of those penguin book bags [ http://www.bloomsburystore.com/proddetail.php?prod=penguinbook ]
However it was a dark blue green and had on it the Erasmus quote "When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes." Desiderius Erasmus

Has anyone seen it or knows of a retailer anywhere in the wide world that has it?

Thanks in advance for you fashion finding talents and wondrous taste.

Looking for Old Navy dress...
Does anyone have this dress in a size 26 or 28 that they'd be willing to sell me?

I really want to wear it to a dear friend's wedding.

C14
Are there any fantabulous fat people who are making the trek to Ybor for C14? I am so excited that it is a mere hour away this year and I am looking forward to going and hanging out and enjoying the events in general.

But it would be even more rad if we could arrange a Fats meet-up. Shall we all wear black together?

Anyone?

I know who I'm rooting for!
The only "reality" show I have watched and am completely addicted to is Project Runway.  I love watching them take heaps of fabric and turn them into incredible creations in just hours.  It's amazing.

So, the cast bios for the new season (starting tomorrow night) have been posted on the Bravo web site and I have found my favorite already.  Her name is Korto and she is quite cool.  She gets her inspiration from her African heritage and she "says her designs are intended for real, full-figured women".

I don't know how long she'll last on the show, but I'll be cheering her on!

Brand new member here - I'm a British 20-year old struggling to accept my self-image, so I thought joining this community would be incredibly helpful. I've already seen some really inspiring stuff browsing around!

First contribution: seasonal dresses. )

A question as well: can anyone recommend me any websites or stores in the UK (not your average high street chain) that do plus-size clothes more in tune with young fashion?

Boob slings and breast reduction.
I am blessed with a large rack. Currently, I'm wearing a 38H.

I am also blessed[?] with some serious back issues.

I am in desperate search of some seriously supportive bras. I would like them primarily to keep the twins from sagging, as that's killing my back. Serious lift and massive support is a big time plus. I don't care too much about style, but I'd prefer it be an actual bra-shaped bra, if possible. I've work surgical chest binders and shirt-like sports bras for gym stuff, but this is everyday wear. Don't care about color, but if black is available..way cool. Fabric doesn't matter and I will pay for quality.

I swear the best support I have ever had has been my darling boyfriend coming up to me and giving the twins a lift himself. Such a weight off.

Also, if any of you folks have any experience with breast reduction, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks a bunch!

a great ebay seller
just wanted to share a really fabulous ebay seller that i have recently dealt with. They have awesome plus size tops from a sz 18 up to a 4X and they are not to expensive either. i got my shirt 2 days after i bought it , although the one i got was too big and i have to send it back, but they also answer emails within 24 hours, so the customer service was great & their items are great, and i just thought i would share  :)

Heads up Monsoon clothes lovers
Monsoon (usually great UK store up to a size 22) appears to have changed the fit of its clothing, particularly skirts.  Today was the first day of the summer sale so I took an extra long lunch hour and headed off to shop.  I'm normally an 18 in bottoms at Monsoon and 20-22 in tops, however ALL of the size 18 skirts I took in to the changing room to try on were much too tight.

I managed to snag a size 20 in one of the ones I loved, but there wasn't a 20 in the other that I wanted.  I bought the 18 home anyway, but it really is too tight.  I'm TOTALLY gutted as it is a gorgeous flirty skirt, but I know I won't wear it because it really is too tight.  So back it goes tomorrow.

And it's definitely the clothes size not my size that's changed.  Two things makes me say this, first, I compared my new skirt with a size 18 I aleady own - there is about 2" difference in the waist size.  I also bumped into one of my co-workers in the store who was buying a dress and she said that the clothes had definitely shrunk in size - she's recently lost weight and she STILL had to go up a size.

Any other UK fats finding something similar?

Do you get chub rub with nylons?
If the answer is yes, this post is aimed at you.

I'm wondering if any people who DO get chub rub with nylons have tried Spanx, or any of the other high-waisted biker short body shaping products out there. If so, did it prevent the chub rub, or was it like the nylons all over again?

Thank you!
