I'm doing a report about underweight and overly young girls in modeling, so if you could help me out I'll give a pretty photograph of a model. I need names of skinny or young models, designers who use them excessively, and/or pictures of really thin models, famous or not. No photoshopped pictures please.

	Camilla Finn was like 12 when she started modelling, Jiesa was around that age as well. Jeisa also was very skinny at a certain point in her career. (Reply to this) (Thread)

I would say the most guilty designers are

Armani - which is interesting because he has made several public comments about not using too skiny models, you should investigate it will be interesting
Nicolas Ghesquiere - though s/s 08 was refreshing for the most part
Miuccia Prada
Marc Jacobs
Karl Lagerfeld - though he also has put Sophie Dahl on the runway so who knows with that guy
Jil Sander - doesn't matter who the head designer is
Hedi Slimane - always puts really young and skinny boys on the runway. could be an interesting angle

Models - Skinny

Snejana Onopka (she hasn't gained weight really, i mean like five pounds really means something)

just about anyone at supreme really

Hana Soukoupova -look at her older pictures
Inguna Butane - around f/w 06-07 and s/s 07 she was sick. she looks amazing now

	With everything you've said. It could also be interesting to look at the girls who have gained weight and how their position within the industry has changed / how the way they are viewed has changed. 	Which girls in particular? I know I'm crying over Jessica Miller's regulation to second class citizen. Ugh. She's back now moreso but people hated on her lower body for absolutely no reason. I'm torn on the whole too young to model thing. Truly am.
Anywho.

Milla Jovovich started when she was 11.
Isabeli Fontana started when she was 13.
Gisele started when she was 13.
Vodianova started at 15.
Evangelista started when she was 12/13.
Kate was ~discovered~ at 14.

So on so forth.

With regards to weight there are few good articles in the New York Times about models being too thin. I'm feeling rather appallingly lazy at the moment so I'll direct you to my blog where I have links to some of the articles.

Also you might want to look at who exactly is casting the shows and which agencies are in charge of which girls.

	susan eldridge looks like a twelve year old and banks on it with the terry richardson "is she/ isn't she?" crowd. she's not overly young or skinny but she uses her young aesthetic in a jarring/ perverse way. (Reply to this) (Thread)
