    active pups?
    Hey guys.

I took a look at the list and a look at the cast list and figured since it's been a year there's no harm in asking...who's still around and active?

I want to know so I don't go stepping on anyone's toes with the last bit of ROTJ canon OOMs and stuff. I hope I haven't already.

    Hi guys!

A while ago, there was an idea put forth, for X-Wing-era pups. People (including myself) had some reservations, and it just sort of -- petered out.

This time around, a couple of us have been discussing and are definitely doing it. Wedge, Tycho, Winter, and Iella are resetting to the comic book era (specifically to "The Phantom Affair," because "Rogue Leader" and "The Rebel Opposition" are the bad crack). I can only speak for myself for my reasons, but -- I've been flailing, personally, for what to do with mine, with only that Great Open Expanse of Nothing before them, followed shortly by the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. Doing the reset is a fantastic opportunity to play through canon that we all obviously love (or at least like, I'd hope, considering that we're playing characters from it!).

Logistically, there are eight comics to go through -- "The Phantom Affair," "Battleground Tatooine," "The Warrior Princess," "Requiem for a Rogue," "Blood and Honor," "Family Ties," "Masquerade," and "Mandatory Retirement." The books come after that, too, but that's getting a little ahead, I think; the comics are a goodly chunk of canon to work through. But the books are the eventual goal!

The goals of this post are:

1.) To give people notice that we're doing this, so that it's not just 'HELLO WHAT IS THIS' out of nowhere in the bar.
2.) To invite people to join us in the reset, if you would like to! It'll be a blast!
3.) To recruit people to app and join us! Mirax, Dllr, Nrin, Ibtisam, Avan and Feylis (shut up they are basically one person), Tavira, Soontir Fel ... There are a bunch of great comic era characters.
4.) To recruit people in general! We'll have lots of NPCs to handle, and if you have somebody you really like but don't want to app ... Just say the word!
5.) To make the request (and I am only speaking for Tycho and Iella here) that pups who don't do the reset, don't give away huge parts of the future. I will very happily work with anyone and everyone to avoid things like, oh, say, "YOU GET CAPTURED AND TORTURED BY YSANNE ISARD" or "YOU KILL YOUR HUSBAND OHSHIT" being said.
6.) And this is possibly the most important thing: if you're reading this and your character has an appearance in the X-Wing comics or books, no matter how small, we need to know several things.

A: Are you in or out on the reset?
B: If you are out, do you want to play your character in OOMs? (Example: I plan on playing Plourr in OOM's, though I'm not resetting her, and Isard for NPC OOM purposes.)
C: If you are out, and if you do not want to play your character in OOMs, is it okay that we NPC your character? It will only be as much as canon demands. The only time that we will NPC them is when they have lines, as per the comics.

In conclusion: this will be seriously fun to play with, and we'd love for you to join us (though if not, it's okay, seriously; no pressuring or angry faces here). Please check in, sound off, share any questions or comments, and answer questions A through C? Thanks!

Yeah, I'm still not really here, but I'm home next week and online a bit this week and weekend, and I really want to get you guys thinking about this just now so that you can all give me input next week (or now, whatevs).

There was a post about Legacy of the Force a really long time ago, and some of you seemed interested, and then nothing happened.

Well, now that we have five books with some pretty damn interesting stuff happening that I really want to see threaded somehow, I'm poking you all again. A lot of the stuff involves people like Luke (retired), Han (pre-ANH), Leia (who knows?), etc, but there's also plenty of opportunities for people to NPC some characters, or interact with canon in the bar to change things (I've already decided there's a point where Ben'll enter Milliways instead of a closet, for instance) ...

characters, npcs, and totally exciting things )

So if anyone seems interesting, or if you have any questions about Legacy of the Force (I've tried not to spoil much here, but I'll totally do it in comments), ask! Things will get done this time round: I already have things solidly written for Bloodlines, and the only reason I haven't started on Tempest is because I don't have my copy with me. Ben will be moving through this series soon with or without you guys, but with would be a whole lot more awesome.

    Hello, gentlebeings
Mun of the now-retired Tahiri and Jag here. Apparently I can't live without a Star Wars pup, so expect a Jorj Car'das to enter the Bar in the near future.

But wait! you say. Who is Jorj Car'das?

Well, he was a prequel-era information broker and smuggling kingpin who had an organization that might have rivaled the Hutts' if outside forces hadn't conspired to screw things up. I'm really looking forward to playing him, but because his history is full of patches and retcons, I thought I'd give folks a heads-up on a few things:

*I'm throwing out the bit of canon where it says his organization swallowed Booster Terrik's when Booster got Kessel'd, as the retconned timeline has Jorj falling off the face of the galaxy eight years before the old man was caught.

*He'll be coming in for the first time before the Clone Wars, when his operation is just starting to take off. He'll probably get Bound pretty quickly, just so I can have fun with him starting an information network in the Bar.

*I'll start taking him through canon eventually, which means relatively nice guy now, psycho greedy empire-builder later, and ashamed quick-aging emoman hiding from the galaxy after that.

Um. I think that's it, really. Questions? Comments? Rotten fruit? I'll be bouncing around like a nerd over here if you need me.

    You guyyyyys.

I am absolutely not above begging.

    Or prodding. Hard.

This post. If you play a Rogue, a Wraith, anyone who knows Wedge and/or Iella (in a positive way; no enemies, plz) and could potentially be on Coruscant circa 13 ABY, this message is for you (and no, it will not self-destruct).

If you could post in, that would be a really, really big help. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, you don't have to thread if you don't want. See Gavin's ever so lovely tag at the end there for an example. You could reply to that with a similar tag. You could tag into a thread above that.

Or if you don't want to tag at all, just -- let Ro or I know so we can figure out what to do? I don't want to nag, but we do really want to get this done, and I am not above continually posting and/or beginning to poke people individually.

Any questions or concerns, comment here, talk to one of us on AIM, or email me (favonian_west.at.hotmail.com). Thanks, you guys.

    Rooooooooll call!
I, in poking around the 'nets today, I realized that the Star Wars section of the cast list is... well, kinda a kerfluffle, for lack of a better word.

In an attempt to get things nice and set-out, I thought that perhaps we could present the mods with a revised list of who's around, who's retired, who's whatever.

Soooooo, I guess, this is a rollcall for all current and past Star Wars characters.

Also, there are a few past characters (Anakin and Luke especially from my perspective) who perhaps we should see about officially retiring, or getting retired.

Anyway, if you all weigh in on who you are, and what your status is, I can make something up pretty.

Or you can all just tell me to go back to my hole. *sends <3*

    Yes, and Not
New year's is a good time for changes.

And, before anyone gets upset, I am not pointing fingers, not blaming anyone for anything.

Okay, I am blaming people for not coming to me, talking to me, offering input and positive, negative or creative criticism. And I blame myself, for not appearing open to criticism.

It came to my knowledge that a number of people think I play Mace Windu as a cardboard cutout, one-dimensional, no-content dummy, with a couple 'the force sayings' tags stuck here and there.I am aware that an important canon pup always brings expectations, but expectations are easier to be satisfied if the mun knows what they are.

With that in mind, I plan to talk with a few people over the next few days, AND, by monday, Mace (and his LJ) will be up for adoption or retirement. If you have a vision of how Mace should behave, here is your chance. If nobody is interested, he will drop out of Milli-existence, and anyone can in the future bring him back, as a clean slate or not.

I am not upset, really, just sad that this bad impression I was giving was not brought to my attention earlier. I am already taking steps to remedy it with all my pups, what will cause a couple more retirements, and the revamping/redoing of others, but those will be dealt in Back Room.

    Peace.

    HELLO EARTHLINGS.

Remember this? No? That's fine; Ro and I didn't, either.

Basically, here's what's going down: Wedge is proposing to Iella. He is doing it in an extremely public manner. If your pup has flown with Wedge, worked with Iella, and/or are friends with either of them and could ostensibly be on Coruscant in 13 ABY, your pup is invited. Free food, free drink, lots of pilots, watching Iella turn really interesting colors; fun for all!

The post can be found HERE THIS IS A LINK LA, and really, guys, there is no major order or structure to this. People can tag in on the one 'arriving' thread that already exists (we don't mind interlopers). People can start their own 'I have ARRIVED' subthreads. Chat. Thread hop. Take seats at the table. Anything goes, really. Wedge will, I believe (and please just -- throw rotten fruit or something if this is wrong, Ro), be circulating and being nervous. Once there is a decent number of arrivals, Iella will arrive and the games will begin. This will, obviously, be slowtimed to hell and back, because schedules are things of woe. If there seem to be a number of folk on at once, there can always be a chat or something, but basically, slowtime is love and so is checking on the post every so often.

We can't do this without you guys, and it really will only require as much tagging as you want to put into it. ♥

EDIT: Er, a point: Wedge did not tell anyone what this is really all about, save Tycho. So your pup? Doesn't know about the proposal. Wedge told people it's really more of a 'hey we all survived another year, come have dinner!' thing. Celebrate good times, come on?

    Is a sprite living?
Ok. Many of you are familiar with ReBoot, the TV show. Tonight, Bob asked Dooku if he could sense him (well, sprites in general) in the Force when Dooku was explaining what the Force was. Now, this brings up a bit of an odd question: Are sprites living? While they are from their certain point of view, they are also, as a matter of canon, part of computers. Which makes the answer yes and no simultaneously.

Given the wonders that have happened when I've worked with canon without asking permission before, I really don't want to make the call here, so I'm going to throw this up there: Can sprites (ie Bob) be sensed in the Force, or not?

    So.

It's about time Wedge got off his arse and proposed to that lovely lady he's been fooling around with, doncha think?

My plan, and this is one of the least-planned-out-plans-of ever, is an uberslowtime from hell, since there are vacations and finals and papers and everything else I'm sure folk are dealing with now, same as I am. So!

Sometime, in the next few weeks, aka when I have the brain to write something half-decent, I'm going to put a post up in Wedge's journal for said question. Now, Wedge needs moral support. Lots of moral support. And possibly people to keep Iella from backing off at the last moment. So. He's inviting anyone who a) flys with him, b) works with Iella, or c) knows them and is friends with them through other means (sorry, Imperals). Those who wish to attend should tag the thread.

    ...

See what I mean about the total lack of structured plan?

Slowtime in effect until... it looks done, hopefully done before the end of January. Ideas? Comments? 'ZOMG how could you be so lax' rants? Other? Bueller?

    Legacy Plot!
So, it seems like plot season for the SW folken. But anyway, I'm siting here reading Bloodlines and I'm at the part where Jaina's talking to Luke and Jaina-inna-head get's all breaky about evil!Jacen and I'm like, y'know, it would be hot to have Legacy!Jacen inna bar. And not just for Jaina, but for Ben and Anakin and stuff.

So! This led to me chatting to Jacen-mun and to Cati and Sarah and then all of the sudden, it hit me. Let's not just have a Jacen going Sithly, but incorporate the Legacy series, Milliways fashion.

So, for all those who haven't read Betrayal and Bloodlines, here's the drill:

There is civil war in the GFFA that's splitting Corellia away from the rest of the galaxy. It is bad and tearing families apart, including Solo-Skywalkers. Meanwhile, in Betrayal, Jacen is approached by dark Jedi/Sith chick, Lumiya. And in Bloodlines, he agrees to become her apprentice and become a Sith Lord. He wants Ben as his apprentice. This is also tearing Jaina and Jacen even further apart and only she and Luke really realize Jacen is going bad.

Um, yes, really bad summary but that's the important parts I can think of right now. Check out the books if you're interested for better ones - they're quite good.

So, yes! Anyway, what I was thinking is that we have a certain number of pups who are Legacy-era and a number of pups that aren't (list below). It could be interesting if we work together to take the events of Betrayal and Bloodlines and all subsequent books and working them into Millicanon.

I'm still working out the details, but I think the gist of it would be that we'd have a list of OOMs which would be important book scenes and a list of in-bar plot threads that can involve the non-Legacy pups as well. Also, non-Legacy pups would also be able to have OOMs discussing these events and stuff. I figure we can all vote on our favorite scenes and all and figure out bar scenes together or whatever.

Like, what I imagine: things like Lumiya approaching Jacen or attacks on Corellia for OOM. Anakin confronting Jacen, Jaina confronting Jacen, Sal-Solo recruiting for in bar stuff. I'm also thinking, if muns are willing, some of the non-Legacy pups can be NPC'ed and used journal wise for OOMs.

    So, yes, list of characters!

    Character claims for NPC's/actual pups
Quin: Luke Skywalker and Cal Omas (NPC for Luke, possible app for Cal/)
    Eric: Thraken Sal-Solo (app)
    Sarah: Alema (NPC)

    SW pups not Legacy era
    Tahri Veila
    Jagged Fel
    Jaina Solo Fel
    Zekk
    Wes Janson
    Tycho Celchu
    Winter
    Inyri Forge
    Wedge Antilles
    Hobbie Klivian
    Face
    Han Solo
    Atton Rand
    Shalla Nelprin
    OTHERS THAT I AM FORGETTING!

SW pups that are Legacy era
    Jacen Solo
    Ben Skywalker
    Mara Skywalker

So yes, I think if we work together, organize plot threads and stuff ahead of time, this can be one really hot plot for us to do. And it gives those pups that are currently at a standstill something to do and yeah.

    So, opinions? :D?

    Le Huge Plotpost Thing
So, based on what I've got so far by way of responses, I've knocked up a rough (very rough) sketch of what the timeline of plot and threads needed. This is still totally changeable, so if there's parts you don't like, you want to join up, you have other ideas, PLEASE feel free to speak up!

    The Thread List O'Doom )

    The Mini-Plot Factor )

Things What Need Discussion - I.E. Please discuss or I'll decide arbitrarily and that'd suck )

If you don't see a slot for your pup in here, it means either I don't know you want to be in this, or I have totally brain-freezed and forgot to work you in. So either way, post below, let me know, and I'll edit this post as changes are suggested/made.

    Okay? Okay!

    Plottishness Update!
So, I knocked up some rough ideas, have some questions for the general group, am trying to figure out who's all in this or not (OMGmyfirstbigplotahhh) and am totally together on this, yup.

So, first with the 'folks what signed up in last post, so we know who we've got to work with so far:

Pilots (NR): Gavin Darklighter, Runt, Wes Janson, Inyri Forge, Tycho Celchu, Plourr, Corran Horn, Biggs Darklighter (dead) not played as would go poof, Shalla, Wedge Antilles, Face Loran, Hobbie Klivian
Pilots (Non-NR or Non-snubfighter): Jagged Fel, Mara Jade, Han Solo, Atton (dead), Lando Calrissian
    Intell: Winter, Iella
Jedi (Both kids and adults): Jaina, Tahiri Veila, Mace Windu (dead), Qui-Gon Jinn (dead), Tenal Ka Djo
Empire: Isard (dead?) Ding dong the witch is dead... um. I mean. :D?
Um... peoples: Syal Fel, Syal Antilles (alive yet?)

So, ideas that I kinda knocked up, totally up for discussion, tweaking (HELP ME PEOPLE), also to be finished later as I am speed-typing this and may not have time to finish:

    - Rogues/Wraiths on leave, emergency mission comes up through NRI - Winter-Iella involvement there?
-Wedge grabs/bribes/guilt-trips/browbeats/gets drunk and stows away somewhere what pilots he can. Needs a corvette/big ship thing, enlists Han - do we need an NPC Chewie?
-Corran-Mace Force connection thing - can bring in the old school Jedi that way? What they need/what intell picked up buzz about is from clone wars, involved with Mace's old squadron? (Plz help know NOTHING about clone wars)
-Jaina decides she wants to help (because she's piloty wannabe teenager) and stows away on the Falcon - can be gunner during dogfight, or other?
-NPC EMPIRE! - Also looking for the artifact, possibly what intell picked up on? Maybe a fiercely loyal Moff who wants to use cloning technology to boost his trooper numbers?
-Definite dogfight scenes - no easy wins, remember the average lifespan for pilots is five missions (no worries not planning on killing off any pups, just making things difficult. Bacta is good)
    -NPC Akbar?
-NPC Leia? Is she still a pup?
-NPC Cracken? Did anyone app him? Is he a pup?
-Asking about pups not signed up - if you know the muns, ping them, point them thisaway, and then we figure out how to deal with the gaps - esp. Solo family, Rogues, Wraiths, old-school Jedi
-the Fel faction - some sort of connection with artifact? Or bring in the school's squadron during dogfight?
-Atton: Want to incorporate, throw me ideas people. One idea: Warehouse somewhere with old artifacts, including the one they're looking for and Atton's old ship? Jaina can find it, trigger holomessage of Atton, and she can fly the thing with holo!Atton's help? Idea the second: Wes brings Atton from M-ways to 'see the new and improved Coruscant', and mission starts then. (Atton-mun likes option 2)
-suggest non-SW-muns get into plot through NPCs?
-VOTE: Do we want non-SW milliways pups in the plot? Y/N? If yes, how/why/what purpose do you see them filling in plot/how to explain to superiors/why them in particular? (UPDATE: Currently trend is 'if we can find a place for them logically'. So. Do we want such a place/does anyone have suggestions/other?)
-we're gonna need an NPC journal - is there a SW one already? There is! [info]sw_npc

Wow, made it through all my notes thus far. So, any ideas/comments/rants/boohiss/things?

UPDATE: PUPS I HAVE NO CONFIRMATION FOR:
Plz be at least looking at the post, and if you really don't want to be in it, please say so. Because I'd really like to do a entire-SW plot and give everyone the chance to be in it. Don't worry if your pup doesn't fit the time frame: We Will Work Them In. Somehow. Using Crowbars, If Necessary. Seriously.

Empire Pups: Admiral Piett, Grand Admiral Thrawn
Jedi Pups: Anakin Skywalker, Anakin Solo, Asajj Ventress, Jacen Solo, Kit Fisto, Kyp Durron, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Saba Sebatyne, The Exile, Zekk
NR Pups: R2D2, Leia Organa Solo, Kell Tainer, C-3PO, Ton Phanon (no, I'm not sure how that'd work either, but if we can nab Atton...)
    Freelancer Pups: Boba Fett
Old Republic/Clone Wars Pups: Captain Ordo, Count Dooku, Darman, Fi, Amidala, Niner

And if you look at that list and the list up top and say 'OMG YOU MISSED MY PUP YOU SUCK' I swear I just went off the cast list and wrote down who I didn't have. So. If you're not up there it means a) your pup(s) haven't been approved by the mods yet and thus haven't been added to the cast list or b)... You might want to contact the mods about that whole 'why am I not on the list' thing. Also? Add your pup to our list. Because it's more fun that way. :D

    Heya, SW-mun types!
I put this in my mun journal a bit ago ([info]bodldops for those that don't know), and got a fairly positive response, so I'm trying it out on a larger crowd:

We've got a lot of pilot types in the bar, especially Rogues and Wraiths. So... why hasn't there been a massive OOM mission thing? I know pups are being brought in from all sorts of times, but we could just pick a time that at least one pup is coming in from, and use that. I'd like to see if we can get just about every SW mun in on this - heck, I know there's at least two series of books based on the theory of "OMG ANCIENT THING FOUND AGAIN WHUT", so there could be Pre-Empire involvement that way.

    Or something.

    :D?

    Please read!
This isn't a post to point anyone out or anything, but just to clear the air over some issues that have been confused often lately. Please bear with us and please read and take these words to heart. This isn't the first time these issues have come up, and often times, it tends to irk a lot of the SW muns. Hopefully, this post will clear up a lot of questions and issues, and all of us will be happier (and less confused) again.

    1. Force Sensitivity. Only characters FROM the STAR WARS universe can be Force sensitive, and even then, we beg you not to make your random pilot character who has never been Force sensitive in the books, films, or games Force sensitive. When it comes down to it, this is a privilege reserved to a select few. If you want to play a Force sensitive character, pick one from canon please. This has been talked about before in the past, and if you would like links, comment and one of us will dig them up for you.

    2. Jedi. Again, only characters previously mentioned in canon as Jedi can be, and should be referred to as Jedi. It bothers many of us to see non-Jedi characters, even non-Force sensitive characters, given such a rank (except in jest, of course) when it doesn't exist. A Jedi is a dignified symbol in this galaxy, and we like to respect that role. There might be a few select situations where this can be bent, however, it should be discussed with the entire community of muns before put into practice.

    3. Lightsabers. Yes, non-Force sensitives can use lightsabers. No, using one will not automatically make them a Jedi. The bottom line with this issue is to keep in mind that lightsabers are not toys. They should not be handed out lightly and given the same amount of respect as Jedi. They are a status symbol of this group, and thus should be treated like such.

Please, please, if you have any questions to this, remember this community exists to field those questions. Majority of us SW muns have it on our lists so we see if a question pops up. And we'd much rather someone ask than anything else.

Thank you so much for reading this.

Hey y'all, quick note for you. I did some digging and didn't turn up a Star Wars NPC account, so ... I made one. I'm in desperate need of one for OOM's now and figure I'll likely also need one for the fall once Crazy Bitch comes in (which I'm going to make another post about soon so plotting can begin, I swear; just need to reread a bit more canon before I do), and also thought that other people might get some use out of it. In fact, I'd love it if y'used it. The account is [info]sw_npc; if you'd like the password, just post a screened comment or ping me (bohemian inuit) or e-mail me (favonian_west.at.hotmail.com). Feel free to upload userpics/do what you will!

EDIT: On second thought, I really don't know how to do the whole screened comment thing. *sheepish grin* So just ping or e-mail me if you're interested.

Paradox Squadron is love. That is a fact which is undisputed by all. However, it has come to my realization after perhaps a few too many months that there is no organization of Jedi in the bar. I really think this should be remedied.

After conversation with a couple of other Jedi-muns, I think we need a meeting of all of the Jedi in the bar. This meeting will serve a couple of purposes. First, it will give us all an idea who's out there, and what they have to say for themselves.

Secondly, and I think, more importantly, it will serve to set down a few ground rules for Jedi in Milliways. The Jedi are, as we all know, an ancient Order, one of rules. Even the New Jedi, which admittedly, I do not know as much about, have rules which they follow. As the muns of Jedi, I believe we have a responsibility ICly and OOCly to create a few guidelines of our own for playing Jedi. No, these are not going to be restrictive. In fact, the old Jedi Code will likely be more rigid. However, certain things need to be discussed and worked out.

So, in this post, I would like to start a couple things.

    1. When would be a good time to have this meeting? It will likely be slowtimed as hell, like a squadron meeting, but when should it be started?

    2. What regulations/rules/guidlines do you all think should be in place for Jedi? Perhaps things to do with lightsabres, practice, meditation, whatever.

Finally, I, or Jen, or someone, will take all of the discussion and summarize it for another post.

Questions, comments, snide remarks, please direct them to me at quiverby on AIM or Jen at Enelya Sol on AIM. Thanks!

Hehe, um...*waves* Hi! I'm Amber...I'm kind of new (well, alright, brand-spanking new) and I'm here to play Leia. I just thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm going to try to (hopefully) post tonight, once I get more of a feel for the game. (It'll be an excellent distraction for that test I'm supposed to be studying for!)

Anyway, it's nice to meet you all and I'm glad to be here, I'm looking forward to playing! If you need to reach me, feel free to send me an IM on AIM at Pimp Master Kit.

I have a meeting to go to in about 20 minutes, unfortunately, so I'll see you all later!
