fantasy100. This is an icon challenge community based on and inspired by places like icons100 and scifi100, but with a fantasy twist.
Members may claim any fantasy movie, tv show, character, artist, or theme. That member is then challenged to make 100 icons of their claim within a specified time period. Each claim can only be made by one person at a time. Each member is allowed up to three claims at a time, depending on how ambitious they are!

Getting Started
1. Join the community. Icon-makers of all skill levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced - it's all for fun!
2. Stake your claim. In order to gain posting access, go to the Claim List and see if your chosen subject is currently available. If it is, leave a comment following the guidelines in the post.
3. If your claim has already been taken, go to the Wait List and reserve it for after the current challenger has completed it.
4. Once you have a claim, you have 3 months (12 weeks) to finish your 100 icons and post them. If you realize you are not going to be able to finish, let me know and I will take your claim down. If you do not complete your 100 icons in 3 months, your claim will be released to anyone else who might be waiting for it.
5. Once you've completed your 100 icons, post at the Hall of Victory with a link to all 100 of your icons and you will be listed in the Hall itself, as well as receiving a pretty banner to celebrate your accomplishment!

Rules
>> Join the community. Your claim will not be accepted unless you are a member.
>> When you post icons, you may use up to three as teasers - the rest must be behind an LJ-cut (real or fake, it's your choice).
>> When you post icons, please use this format:
Topic: (your chosen topic)
Subject: (your subject within that topic, if you have one)
Progress: (how many of the themed and artist's choice icons you have completed - e.g. 10/50 themed, 18/50 artist's choice)
Notes/Credits: (any further information can go here)
>> It is encouraged, though not mandatory, for you to use an icon table such as this one to keep your icons organized.
>> You can post your icons in small batches until you have completed all 100, but in order to be entered into the Hall of Victory, you must have a post (either here or at your personal journal) containing all 100.
>> You have three months to finish, but you must post your first batch of icons (at least 10) within two weeks of having your claim accepted. If you do not post your first ten icons within two weeks, you will be notified and given two days to post. If you do not post all 100 within three months, you will be notified and given two weeks to complete them. Should you fail to meet these deadlines, your claim will be deleted and your posting access revoked.
>> Extensions will be issued by request only. If you know you won't be able to make your deadline, drop me a line and explain why, and I will consider extending it. Only one extension is allowed per claim, and the amount of extra time given will depend on your particular situation and the number of icons you still have to complete.
>> 50 of your icons must follow assigned themes (see below). The other 50 are artist's choice. The themes are just there to provide some inspiration, and you don't have to use them as the text of your icons.
