Fantasia is scheduled to make a special guest appearance at CARNEGIE HALL! as part of The New York Pops 2005 Birthday Gala concert. She’ll be performing with Heather Headley and a cast of stars from the worlds of Broadway, jazz, and popular culture.

The date of the concert is Monday May 9, 2005 at 7:00pm.

Fantasia's on LIVE with Regis and Kelly tomorrow!!! I can't wait... Does anyone know when she's going to perform on American Idol???

WOW I just love Fantasia's cd. I was so excited that I got to see her perform today live. She has been doing appearances all around the Chicago area for the last two days. Today is was at the Virgin MegaStore in downtown Chicago. She performed four songs. She did Turth Is, Free Yourself, Baby Mama, and Ain't gon beg you (accapella). Afterwards I was able to get my cd signed by her. She is really down to earth. At the beginning she was talking to everyone and willing to sign more than one item even though they announced that she will only do one item. So also as well gave everyone a hug and a kiss on the check. But afterwhile I don't know if it was her people or the stores staff who told her she had to just sign the cd and move the line along quickly. So she made an annoucement that she had to stop and that she will try not to talk so much to everyone but it will be hard because she loves to talk. I think they were rushing her because she was schedule to appear somewhere shortly after her signing was over so they didn't want her to go over her time and be late to the next event.

In May 2004 - the 3rd season of American Idol came to a conclusion - as we saw Fantasia Barrino win the victory. It was a very memorable night for us all - but most of all for Fantasia. Here is some pictures of that memorable victory.

Hello all.. I'm new here and wanted to say Hello. I fell in love with Fantasia on the AMA's. I didn't watch much of that season of AI. I'm a 28 M and live in FL.

My problem.... I love the song "Free Yourself" and cannot find the lyrics anywhere. I need to get paid before I can buy the album.. But I really want the lyrics. I've searched many sites and maybe someone out there can help!!

Missy Elliott, R. Kelly Helping Fantasia With Her Debut LP
'American Idol' winner's Free Yourself drops November 23.
In an "American Idol" winner first, Fantasia has scored some of the biggest names in music to contribute to her debut album.

Missy Elliott, Jermaine Dupri and R. Kelly are among those writing and producing for Fantasia's Free Yourself, due November 23.

Elliott is behind the title track as well as a tune called "Selfish," while Dupri contributed "Got Me Waiting," according to Fantasia's spokesperson.

Other producers include the Underdogs ("Ain't Gonna Beg"), Scott Storch, Jazze Pha, and Soulshock & Karlin ("Truth Is"), who are coming off JoJo's "Leave (Get Out)."

"I can't believe they're writing songs just for me," Fantasia said in a statement. "I want the songs I record to show different aspects of what I can do musically. I can't wait. I feel like as much as God has blessed me, now I just want to give back."

Harold Lilly, who produced Alicia Keys' "You Don't Know My Name" as well as tracks for Ruben Studdard and Angie Stone, also worked with Fantasia, a single mother, on a track called "Baby Mamma," and Rodney Jerkins contributed "It's All Good."

"She's soulful," Jerkins said. "She's a young Aretha Franklin/Mary J. Blige all rolled up into one. This girl's got some pipes on her, serious pipes."

Fantasia has yet to decide on the album's first single, although Jerkins said "It's All Good" is likely.

"I did this record with Sean Garrett," Jerkins said of the red hot songwriter behind Usher's "Yeah!," Ciara's "Goodies" and Destiny's Child's "Lose My Breath." "It's gonna shock people. ... [You think] she's going to come slow, singing ballads, 'cause all the 'American Idol' artists that have come out, if you study the past, they've come out with these big ballads. Well, the only hint that I can give is that it's not a ballad."

Fantasia, who beat Diana DeGarmo for the third "American Idol" crown in May (see " 'I Made It' Declares Tearful 'Idol' Winner Fantasia Barrino"), started recording Free Yourself over the summer, on off nights from the American Idols Live tour (see "Fantasia Gets Standing O, JPL A Wanted Man, Huff Tackles Darkness At 'Idols' Launch").

With her summer single, "I Believe," Fantasia became the first artist to debut at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with her first solo single (see "Fantasia Beats Diana DeGarmo Again — This Time In Stores").

"She will definitely have a career because she definitely has the attitude and the pipes to pull it off," Jerkins said. "She has it. And I look to work with her again in the future. I think the chemistry's there and I think we're gonna create."
