Summary: It took three kisses
Author's Notes: I don't really have anything to say, other than these guys are probably among my top three favorite pairings of all time.
Their first kiss had been completely by accident. They had been arguing and had maybe one beer too many, and Casey fisted his hand in Raphael’s bandana and dragged him forward into a kiss that was all hunger and need and more than a little rough if Casey’s aroused growl would be anything to go by. Raphael was frozen to the spot as the older man ravaged his mouth, and then he jerked away, punching Casey in the jaw before running home in a panic. They never spoke of it.
Their second kiss had been on the wings of an adrenaline rush, a successful night on the streets and a fantastic fight that had left the two breathless and grinning like mad men when Raph had jerked Casey down into a victory kiss, it was brief and their lips barely touched, but it was enough. Raphael ran away again.
Their third kiss was more deliberate, and Casey had given Raphael plenty of time to say no, to pull away. They were on the roof of Casey’s building, and Casey had his hand on Raphael’s cheek and kissed him softly, sweetly, and the soft noise Raphael made had made him stop, but when he opened his eyes, he saw Raph pressing his fingers against his lips before looking up at Casey. The kiss couldn’t be blamed on beer or the thrill of the hunt this time, and Raphael looked a little lost. Casey was ready to apologize, to tell Raph to forget about the whole thing, when Raphael took Casey’s hand in his, squeezing it gently as he looked out over the city.
“City looks nice tonight,” He said, casually, as if he and Casey hadn’t just kissed, but he was smiling.
Casey smiled back before looking out over the rooftops of New York, “Yeah. It does.”
And that was how their relationship began.
