Dear certain author of a Star Ocean 3 fic I read on the Internet,

Why does every single of your gay character hate women in your story? Sure, there are gay guys who exist who do actually hate women and likewise, there are lesbians who hate all men [cringes while thinking of Patrick and Missy]. But there are a lot of people who bat for the same team and don’t think that women are the worst scum of the earth, me included. I have a good number of female friends who I have no interested in dating but I still think are awesome. I’ve befriended them because of similar interests and because I thought that they were very pleasant people.

Just because us homosexuals don’t find chicks fun to screw doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t find them fun to hang around with.

Disney movies are evil, I tell you! Go and look in movies like Pinocchio, Robin Hood, A Goofy Movie, The Little Mermaid and Snow White! Those films show underage characters experiencing unwanted personal contact from adults. Some of them (like Skippy in Robin Hood) were kissed against their will! That would be horribly upsetting to a real child but these situations treated as humourous!

What does this tell children? It gives them the wrong message about who gets to touch their bodies. This is highly inappropriate and should not be shown in a child's film.

Also, characters like Mowgli from The Jungle Book  handle threats from adults but they never tell the adults who raise them! This tells children that they should not tell adults about what happened to them.

Seriously, I am really worried about how these movies influence young children. I feel that Disney should be shut down otherwise many young children in the world will get raped.

Guys, a question...Why do people want to leave fandom just because some people are immature? Yeah, I have my share of brats in fandom. People say that one of my favourite Fruits Basket characters is a Mary Sue for getting in the way of Kyo/Yuki, people think that Sephiroth is their future husband and people argue about which pairing is more canon, which is quite annoying to hear, but you get really interesting and awesome people, too! I’m not sure why that wouldn’t make up for all the rabid people.

Hello. My name is Jane. I am what you would call a true fan in fandom. Unlike other ‘fans’ (I refuse to call them actual fans), I am a fan in a certain fandom because I like the well-developed plot or the great character development. I lose all respect for fangirls who only like certain characters because they are hot. Nakago is one very good example. I love how his tragic past made him such a cruel and manipulative villain and am so embarrassed that some children (I refuse to call them teenagers or adults) call themselves ‘fans’ of him because they only like his looks. How pathetic. I’m so glad that I’m not like that.

Also, I despise people who squee over characters instead of praising them for their character developments or discuss certain issues of the plot.  It shows that they have no real respect for such characters. Sometimes I question how intelligent these ‘fans’ are.

And I hate people who write pornfic and people who write romance fics solely for the sake of putting two characters together. All these people are interested in is their stupid horny fantasies and not storytelling or characterisation.
