| Camped at the end of the bar with a box of fresh and spicy buffalo wings, Adora was devouring them with great enthusiasm. When Tino inquired if she was willing to share, she made a very sad face and offered him her very last drummette.
"Life would be so much easier if I wasn't nice," she sighed, dipping a celery stick in blue cheese sauce before crunching down on it and wishing she'd gotten two orders.
| Chuck hadn't felt much like going to work today, and not just because they were playing cycle 2 of ANTM on Bravo and he hasn't seen that one in, like, forever. He was also just lazy. But he figured since he was the owner he might as well set a good example or something. And he could just make Tino serve everybody. | |
| The zombies were playing louder than usual tonight at Damon's request and the vampire himself was dancing around the bar, occasionally knocking Tino upside the head when he passed by.
Tino really hated his life.
| Chuck wasn't much in the mood to be around everyone else during the holiday so he was more than happy to work today. Tino hadn't had any plans either (did he have a family?) so he and Chuck had decided to get hammered with a good ol' game of Quarters.
[Putting this up now just in case I pass out or something later. I'm going to have dinner with the redneck side of my family soon but I should be back around 8ish. Bets on how many times my dad quotes Larry the Cable Guy? I'm around!]
| There would be a series of crashes and yelling coming from the back room tonight. It seemed Tino had broken a shelf in the back and Marshall had taken it upon himself to fix it. It was not going well. Not well at all. "YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO SHELVES EVERYWHERE! YOU STUPID--" Loud crashing noise. "...Oh, there goes the whiskey..." Yeeeeeeeeah. He'd be in there all night. [I'm going out to see New Moon in all it's epic glory with missed_the_gate and psychic_wonder tonight so you're gonna have to mod Tino!]- Tags:caritas

| Robin wasn't planning on cooking a damn thing on Thursday, but when she wandered into Caritas and saw Tino reading a cookbook, she had no other course of action but to confiscate it.
"You're supposed to be working, not reading," she said, rolling her eyes at him before cracking open the book to read about pumpkin pie.
[around 'til about 8:30 EST, mod Tino after!]
| Adrian arrived to the bar twenty minutes late, already more than slightly tipsy, and fully expecting the glare that he got from Tino.
"Like you expected any different," Adrian told him.
Tino had no argument for this.
| Adora had made the mistake by betting on the wrong football teams all day long. As a result, she'd had spent the evening doing shots with Tino.
There were two very drunk bartenders at your service.
| Chuck came into work a bit early, mostly out of boredom rather than having an abundance of work to finish. He figured if you were going to be bored, you might as well be bored with a whole lot of booze. | |
| Damon came into work on time, for once, and took his place behind the bar, a bottle of scotch by his side. Tino still hadn't really seen Damon do actual work yet but he was too scared to glare at him bitterly.
[I'll be around for the next hour or so and then I'm off to a bar. Yeah, I don't know where this social life came from either]
| "I know something you don't," Ben told Tino. Tino glared. Ben had been doing this for the past twenty minutes. Any time Tino asked what Ben knew, Ben would go into detail about the Mandelbrot Set. "Look, it's simple. Take a point called 'Z' in the complex plane and let Z1 be Z squared plus C..."
Tino's headbarring got Ben to stop.
[OOC: I'm around!] | |
| Marshall was hitting the beer hard tonight. Someone might've been a wee bit disappointed that he was missing the ANTM finale because of work. | |
| Robin was not really tending bar today.
She hadn't had anything to eat since breakfast, and unfortunately, that was coming back to bite her in the ass. Specifically in how she was now sprawled over one corner of the bar, asleep.
This was why people needed to feed her. Sigh.
| Adrian was more or less a chimney tonight, lighting one clove cigarette after another. Even he really didn't need to smoke that much, but here was a little sense of pleasure at watching Tino's glare get more and more fierce every time.
"It's very cute how you think that's going to make me stop," Adrian finally said, and Tino stalked off to get something from the stockroom rather than respond.
As soon as he was gone, Adrian put out his cigarette and got another drink instead.
| The bassist and the rhythm guitar guy seemed to have something creepy going on over on the stage. Adora peered at them with interest.
"Do you think he needs help with his leg?" Adora asked Tino, wondering if help was required. Tino just shook his head, not wanting to be the one to provide said help.
| The bassist of the band was having some serious leg attachment issues today, which was something Chuck absolutely refused to deal with. And Tino seemed to be showing some backbone today and was also refusing to deal with it. So the bassist would spend the evening leaning against the rhythm guitar guy for support.
Which didn't seem to bother him in the least. He actually looked pretty pleased about the whole situation. Weird.
| Damon was a bit late for his first night at work but he figured he had a good excuse, considering he had been off island picking up some dinner. He had the feeling people would prefer him being late to him draining them of blood.
Eating put him in an absolutely terrific mood too, judging from the way he was dancing around everywhere. He was actually kind of freaking Tino out.
[I'm gonna go get my drink on around...soon. So modding Tino might be your best bet]
| Ben, Tino, and Teeone were all at the bar playing some UNO. Ben and Tino couldn't prove it, but they were both pretty sure the droid was cheating somehow.
[OOC: Still working a lot of overtime, explaining the lateness.]
| Marshall still wasn't used to his new night. Everything seemed the same but Wednesday had a different vibe. A middle of the week vibe. It was weird. | |
| It wasn't every day that Robin shot tomatoes on her way to work.
Her clothes spattered with vegetable remains and her gun holstered at her hip, she came into Caritas glaring, and immediately opened herself a bottle of scotch.
It was clearly one of Those days.
| Adrian was in for a surprise when he got to Caritas on Monday.
Tino had called out sick.
For a moment Adrian just looked around the bar, realizing he'd never actually watched what Tino did to set up. "Well played," he said finally. "Well played."
| "Oh Tino, don't you just love this movie," Adora sighed, leaning on the counter and staring adoringly at the television screen. "I hope it ends happily with a shared kiss!" Tino responded with a pathetic cough, his forehead smushed against the bar and his eyelids fluttering in exhaustion. Someone shouldn't have come to work tonight. The draw of boobs was obviously too great to keep him away. "The prince so wants to marry the strong and dynamic student, and yet, his accented family doesn't approve of his choice!" Another sigh. "These are the evenings I miss my prince. Do you have a special friend, Tino? One to have the sex with?" The only answer she got was snoring. Adora smiled over at the bartender, feeling sorry for him as she draped a bar towel over his shoulders. "Sleep now, friend. I shall do the work tonight." | |
| Ben was kind of surprised to find that he didn't have anything new to put up on display. He did, however, have empty boxes from previous shipments.
So he built a box fort behind the counter. Really, it was just because he could.
[OOC: I'm lazy so no OCD.]
| Chuck was doing actual managerial work as he sat behind the bar today. Yes, he did that. Seemed like he was doing it more than usual with everybody wanting to switch shifts. Why he was doing it out here instead of his office was anybody's guess.
Oh, right. The booze was out here. That's right.
| When Ben walked into the bar, he spotted a stack of stools and tables behind the counter. It seemed like Tino had built a fort.
When Ben tried to peek inside, Tino reached out and pointed at a sign reading "NO BENS CLUB."
Ben glared at the fort for a moment and then moved on to ignoring the fort.
[OOC: A little late, but I'm around!]
| Robin sauntered in on her new night, and was mildly disappointed that it looked exactly the same as Sundays. And Thursdays, for that matter.
Right down to Tino, who dropped a glass when she came in and immediately went to find something else to do in the back. Robin supposed he hadn't been prepared for her level of general badassery and awesomeness tonight.
| The Monday after Halloween saw Tino and Adrian camped out at the bar together in a rare moment of peace. Tino had set out a bowl of leftover Halloween candy that he was trying to get rid of but still couldn't stop snacking on, and finally he looked over to see why Adrian hadn't touched any of it.
"You have your treats, I have mine," said Adrian, and lit a cigarette.
| Chuck was still in his costume when Caritas opened on Saturday night. It was still Halloween, after all now. Only now the drinking to eating candy ratio leaned more towards the drinking part. | |
| Marion was at work today. She so was. She just wasn't out at the bar part. For reals. But Tino would be glad to help you. Well. Not glad to help you. But he was there. And he had to help you. Because that was what he was being paid for.
[Long story short, I started drinking at 3:30 and haven't stopped yet. So mod Tino]
| Ben generally didn't drink. But when you were coming up on the dual anniversary of your death and rebirth, well, sometimes you needed a drink. Or several. And sometimes that meant you were the grumpy guy at the bar who grunted and made Tino do the real work.
So, that's what Ben was doing tonight.
[OOC: I'm around! But Ben's not in the greatest mood. Mod Tino unless you want to deal with a grump.]
