| About: | Welcome to Fandom Commerce! Your local trading post for Harry Potter related gifts. This community is one of the smaller Art/Fic exchange groups out there on LJ today. But that doesn't stop us from rocking your snitch-patterned socks off! If you happen along this community after deadline but want to be apart of the next exchange then please! General Rules & Regulations: 1.All gifts must be finished and submitted by the deadline unless you have received an official extension. 2.All fics and artwork can be any rating you feel comfortable writing/drawing as long as it is within the comfort zone of the person who you are creating it for. Threesomes -- or foursomes -- are more than allowable if your person is into that. 3.Remember, this is a secret gift exchange, so please do not post your work anywhere else or in your journal until after the list of Who-Had-Whom has been revealed here. It would also be polite if you didn't write a fic related to anything you've written previously or part of a work in progress. Identities of gift givers will be posted after the exchange is finished. About SIGNING UP: To sign up all of the following must be properly filled out and sent to me: LJ username and real name: Email address: Are you a writer or artist?: Do you prefer to receive art or fic?: What is your comfort zone as far as ratings go?: (This goes for both the gift you give and the gift you receive) Slash, yes/no?: 3-5 preferred characters/pairings: (please be as specific as possible) Special elements or kinks you'd like included: (please be as specific as possible) Squicks or characters/pairings you don't want in your fic: (please be as specific as possible) Pairings aside from the ones you've listed that you would prefer to write/draw: (be as specific as possible) Pairings you won't write/draw: (be as specific as possible) Kinks or squicks you won't write/draw: (be as specific as possible) Anything else you'd like to add: Be as specific as possible with your wants and preferences as it will help your gifter write better/more interesting stories or draw better/more interesting art AND it will help me to pair you with someone compatible. A bad example would be: Pairings: Whatever Any kinks or special elements: Anything is fine with me. Squicks or characters/pairings you don't want: The usual You must specify at least 3 different characters or pairings, so your benefactor can have some room to work. A good example would be: I like Severus/Remus, Ron/Hermione, Harry/Luna or Zacharias/Parvati, light bondage (especially with ties), fluff, and fic/art about the characters on holiday in the mountains. I also love cozy fic/art about mornings in the common room/home. Oh and threesomes are fine! I really don’t like teacher/students, dark fic, or wall sex. Signups will be from October 24th-November 1. Participants will receive their assignments sometime in early-mid November 2007. About DEADLINES: It's VERY IMPORTANT that all gifts are turned in by deadline. Number One rule here, people. Finished works are due no later than January 1, 2008. If you need to drop out, let me know as soon as possible. If you need an extension, talk to me! I need to know that you need one and aren't just blowing it off. About GIFT FORMATTING: All fics/art must be sent to me – tehpadfoot@gmail.com, or to McKenzie- tehsnivilus@gmail.com, so we can do the posting for you. This will keep it all secret until further notice. Completed fic- send it in as an attachment to tehpadfoot@gmail.com or tehsnivilus@gmail.com Do not cut/paste into the body of an email – apparently, Gmail messes up the formatting and I don’t have the time to reformat anyone’s stories. Completed art- email as an attachment to tehpadfoot@gmail.com or tehsnivilus@gmail.com It would probably be smart to avoid putting in identifiable signatures on your work in order to maintain the secrecy. Beta-readers and spellcheckers are your friends. All pieces must be spellchecked and copyedited before turning them in. Do not submit haikus, poetry, song lyrics, or interpretive dances as a submission. Art is self-explanatory (I hope). Art/stories in comic form are more than welcome. The following must be sent to me along with your finished gift: Title: Author (to be removed before posting): Recipient's LJ name: Rating: Pairing(s): Word Count: Warnings: Prompt Chosen: Authors notes: Font: Times New Roman, 12 point, single spaced is the standard. If, for some reason, you do not have that font on your computer (most people do, however) then it's not that big of a deal. I just don't want people to send me fics with all these fancy fonts that make it harder to read and wont even show up in the LiveJournal post anyway. A note: Please keep in touch with me during this exchange. Just email me every once in a while so I know you're still alive and well and making your gift. Last exchange we had quite a few late submissions. That is totally okay because these things happen, I know, and that was our first exchange ever at FandomCommerce. But this time you all know what to expect and I expect everyone to work a little harder to get all the gifts in by deadline. Minimalize possible last minute scribbles. Let's make this time faster, more efficient, more streamlined, and LESS stressful. :D | |||
