Fandom Rocks is on Twitter!
We hope you will follow us! We would love to follow you!
P.S. Don't forget to check out Sandi's auction post!
Campaign 5 for Fandom Rocks is currently underway and we are planning a huge online auction beginning July 1, 2009.
We really want to hit it out of the ballpark on this campaign especially, because one of our beneficiary organizations is The American Cancer Society. Supernatural fans chose this charity so that we can donate in honor of and in memory of Kim Manners, the beloved director who brought so many incredible Supernatural episodes to life for us from the show’s beginning up until his tragic passing.
As in all Fandom Rocks campaigns, the fans choose two beneficiaries and all funds collected during the campaign are evenly divided between the two. This campaign will also benefit The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, as voted by the fans.
Our last online auction brought in over $9000.00 and we want to reach this number and even surpass it this time around. In order to make that happen, we’re putting out the call for items contributed to the auction by the fans themselves. While we have some fantastic “official” items, some of them autographed, we’d like to add that special touch from the fans, as well. So, if you would like to contribute anything Supernatural related for the auction, we’d be thrilled to accept them. We’re looking for handcrafted items, original artwork, Supernatural memorabilia, etc.
If you’d like to contribute items to the auction, please contact us at: contact@fandom-rocks.com and we’ll make the arrangements.
Please help Fandom Rocks and Supernatural fans everywhere not only make a difference by donating to two very worthy organizations, but also to say “Thank You” to Mr. Kim Manners for the difference he made in all of our lives by bringing Sam and Dean Winchester to life with his amazing talents.
Tell your friends and help spread the word about Fandom Rocks and what Supernatural fans are doing to make a difference in the lives of people who need our help!

The top charity, with 57% of your votes, was the American Cancer Society. Given the recent passing of Kim Manners and undoubtedly the personal connection cancer prevention and treatment has for many people, Fandom Rocks is proud to support this organization with our fellow fans.
The second charity was the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
While the charities for this campaign seem to differ greatly from previous campaigns, I believe they are both strong proponents for improving human life and addressing relevant health issues. Through these choices, our fellow fans demonstrate that Fandom Rocks is willing and able to acknowledge and tackle challenging problems with personal connections.

1. We will be holding an interview with a special guest star in tonight's episode. Be sure to come back here after watching and submit your questions!
2. Vote in the charity poll!
=)
( Guest star name under here! )
Be warned of spoilers in the comments!
Voting ends on March 14, 2009 for the two charitable organizations that will be
the beneficiaries for Fandom Rock's Campaign 5.
The two charities getting the most votes will split all money raised by Fandom
Rocks during Campaign 5.
Don't miss out-----go to the website and VOTE NOW!!
www.fandom-rocks.com
First thing on the agenda is deciding which two charitable organizations will be our beneficiaries and we need your help!! The poll is up now on our website and we'd love for all of you to go there and cast your vote. The two charities which garner the most votes will become the designated charities for Campaign 5.
Many "Supernatural" fans have requested that we raise funds for The American Cancer Society in memory of Kim Manners and we'd love to be able to do this. But, in order for that to happen, it will need to be one of the top two vote-getters. So, if this is your desire, go to the website and make your voice heard.
If you do not see a charity you want to support, nominate them! Make sure you research them first, of course. We only ask that they be 501(c)3 organizations or the equivalent for an international charity.
Voting ends on March 14, 2009, so hurry and help make a difference!

Donate to Campaign Four!
Donating $13 in honor of Friday the 13th?
Donating $14 to charity instead of the card/candy industry for Valentine's Day?
(I hope so!)
After all, the boys are in movies about BOTH holidays (sort of). Why not help out charities this weekend and help our campaign reach our goal?
=D
After tonight's episode, Supernatural will have a short hiatus. We'll be counting the minutes until the next new Winchester adventure, but we also have a way that you can make good use of the down time *and* support our show in the process! We've extended the deadline for the "Promote It" contest through the end of February.
Our good friends at Cinequest are providing some awesome prizes and will be judging the contest entries, so dust off your creativity and love for the Winchester Brothers and show us what you can do to promote Supernatural. It's easy--here's all you have to do:
1. Get creative--make a vid, a T-shirt, a billboard, funny hats! Sing! Dance!
2. Promote Supernatural
3. Take photographic or video evidence
4. Submit that evidence to contact@fandom-rocks.com
Don't feel creative, but still want to help Fandom Rocks raise funds for our current campaign? That's okay! Check out the awesome Supernatural collectibles at CineQuest and support Fandom Rocks at the same time! During this campaign, which runs through February 28, 2009, Cinequest is offering two coupons for Fandom Rocks. Use coupon code "Fandom" and $1 from your order will be donated to Fandom Rocks. If you purchase a minibust and use coupon code "Rocks", $5 from your order will be donated to Fandom Rocks! Cinequest has a whole catalog of awesome Supernatural items, so be sure to check them out!
Funds raised during this campaign will benefit the HSUS Investigations Fund and Children For Tomorrow, two
very deserving organizations that were chosen by Supernatural fans in the Fandom Rocks poll for Campaign 4.

Well all... time to strap on your work gloves and start digging.
We have just SIX weeks left in this campaign and we're over $3,000 shy of our $4,444.00 goal.
To that end (and because we suspect all the holiday hustle/bustle distracted everyone, I know it did me), we're extending the contest to the end of the campaign (end of February). So there's still time to get some great ideas and possibly win a killer prize!
I know you're as psyched as I am about new episodes. (Are you kidding, I've threatened everyone in my house with bodily harm if they bother me tomorrow night) So let's get some of that energy into this campaign! I know you all have some great ideas out there, I read fic. I see the fanart. Share your ideas with us.

1. We have just over a week left in our latest contest, and ZERO ENTRIES! 2. From Our Hearts to Yours (Or Something Less Cheesy)
It's hard to believe we are close to wrapping our fourth campaign. It's hard to believe all of this support was built off an idea and grew into the this great community. In a few months, Fandom Rocks will officially be two years old. I wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported this effort. Some of you may have known me via my journal, a minor few maybe knew me in person, but the majority of you came along because you are a part of this fandom, you gave us your trust, and never looked back. That level of trust amazes me to this day, and I work hard, with your trust in mind, on every project for Fandom Rocks to insure everything the community stands for is executed with much deserved respect. I hope you will continue to put your trust in us and see Fandom Rocks through more successful campaigns. -
For me, 2008 was a year I got to see so much accomplished in so many ways. Not only did I get to see my beloved fandom raise funds for some charities (a few of which I admit were near and dear to my heart), but I got to meet and talk to a lot of great people. Always, when things seemed at their most dire, when deadlines loomed and the coffers were nearly bare, something great would appear from out of nowhere, and we pulled it together in the nick of time.
To those who helped us along the way: Steve Carlson (and his father, Chris!), Sera Gamble (and the whole Supernatural Crew!), and most especially, to all the fans around the world who have donated, thank you!
One of the main ideas of Fandom Rocks was to show what could be accomplihed by a collective of people, and we've done that. A donation, no matter how small it may seem to you, adds up when you take that sum from 15, 20, even 50! other people. You may think $4 can't accomplish anything, but we have seen what $1,500, $2,000 or $4,500 can do!
And that is something we can ALL take some pride in. Thank you ALL for an awesome 2008 and here's to 2009! -
2008 was my first year as a part of Fandom Rocks, and I've enjoyed every single minute! Supernatural is a special show in so many ways, and SPN fans are amazing. So many of them have taken time out of their busy lives this year---a year that has been a hard one economically for so many of us---to donate money or items to Fandom Rocks for our charity drives, showing a generosity of spirit that makes me so proud to be a Supernatural fan. From the fans themselves, to Sera Gamble and all the cast and crew of Supernatural, to Steve Carlson and Jason Manns, to David and Betsy from "Ten Inch Hero," to Gary from Creation Entertainment, to all of our supporters, everyone worked together to raise money for those in need. This is the true spirit of fandom in action and I'm proud to have been a part of the work that the Supernatural fandom has accomplished in 2008. I'm looking forward to an even better 2009, as we continue to support the best show on television!! -
2008 was my first year with Fandom Rocks. I've loved being a part of something that helps people. I've always wanted to make a difference, and I know that we are making one.
The first event I was a part of was the delivery of the check to the Semper Fi Fund. I wasn't with Fandom Rocks then but after seeing the effect it had on the people receiving it, it showed me how much we could do. Just a little at a time.
In September, i got to present Jim Beaver with a shirt signed by all his fans (all the ones I could get in a day) at EyeCon. After seeing how gracious he was it showed me how they all really appreciate what we do and why we do it.
I hope that 2009 will bring us many more opportunities to reach out to people and to expand our efforts. -
