Due to the small amount of nominations we've recieved for the Doctor Who Limerick Project, I am extending the call for nominations until Sunday.

Please consider heading over and reading the limericks and nominating. Even if you haven't been involved yet, it's a fun project and we had a great turn-out with limericks. You can nominate whether or not you wrote a limerick, we would still love you input.

And please pimp it!

This will be the last post about nominating since I feel bad about flooding everyone's flist and communities. So remember, nominate until Sunday (midnight), and I will post Monday with links to voting.

Doctor Who Limerick Project Nominations

1. Please be fair and read all of the limericks, or at least all of the limericks in the category(-ies) for which you are nominating.
2. Anyone can nominate, you need not to have entered or participated actively in this or any other limerick project in the past to nominate.
3. You do not have to nominate for every category.
4. Please do not nominate your own limerick(s).
5. When nomnating, please state the category for which you are nominating, followed by the author, the first line, and the link to the comment in which it was posted.
6. Limericks within an epic can be nominated individually or as a whole. Please state epic if you are nominating the whole thing.
7. Please rank your nominations by preference numerically or by order; you are allowed 2 nominations per category. (If you don't rate your nominations, I will take them in the order that they are written, which means that your favourite may not end up being nominated.)
8. I will take the top ten of each category, at the most, to be put into the voting polls.

Doctor Who Limerick Project

My internet has been down for the last couple of days, so I haven't been able to bring forth any updates in regards to the DW Limerick Project.

The cut-off was originally tomorrow, but considering my inability to post a warning I am extending the cutoff to this Saturday, the 17th.

I'll have voting up as soon as I can after that, but please make sure that you limericks are posted by midnight (US mountain time) to help me make putting voting together less painful and disorganised.

And thanks to everyone who has so far participated! The limericks are great and it's looking like a fantastic year.

This Year's Posting Rules*

1. Limericks must be related to Doctor Who. The limericks may be related to any incarnation, any companion, and any previous series or spin-off (such at K-9 & Co.).

2. Real people may be used in limericks, but please refrain from any smut/slash, slander, or any other derogatory material when writing about them. If any are posted I will ask you to edit or delete it.

3. Crossovers are not allowed beyond the DW universe. The DW universe is confined to mainly: the series, the movie spin-offs, audio aventures, books, and series-spin offs. Parodies, such as The Curse of the Fatal Death, may also be utlised. Please, however, refrain from writing about Torchwood, since it has yet to be aired. This will probably change next year, but this year let's stick to the vast Dcotor Who universe as-is.

4. Smut and slash are welcome, but don't foget that gen limericks make people happy too.

5. Please label your submissions correctly with the submission format given below. If you don't, I will ask you to delete it and resubmit it correctly. And that makes me cranky.

6. Limericks must be in the typical limerick format: 5 lines, AABBA ryhme scheme. For more information, check out this article at eHow.com.

Submission Format

Each limerick should be posted in a seperate comment to this entry. If you are writing an epic limerick (a limerick with multiple verses) you maybe post them in one comment, or in seperate comments in a single comment thread.

Please see past limerick projects to see the posting requirements in action.

Please include the following information (for applicable categories) in the Subject line:

Doctor: First, Second, Third, etc. ... use N/A if no Doctor is mentioned.
Universe: Series, audio adventures, TV movie, RP (real people), etc.
Category: Gen, smut, slash. (Het and masturbation fall into smut category. Slash can be safely assumed to be smut.)
Spoilers: No Spoilers or Spoilers for [insert episode or season.]. Spoilers will be enforced mostly for the Ninth and Tenth Doctor seasons, which are now airing in the US and the UK.

Your entry should look like the following when posted:

2nd Annual Whedonverse Limerick Project

Here are this year’s posting rules:

1. Limericks must be related to one of the following Whedonverse creations Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Fray, or Firefly/Serenity. (I am excluding X-Men because they are not Whedon's original characters/universe.)

2. Crossover, Real People: Crossing the lines between the above-mentioned shows is okay, no other crossovers. Limericks using the cast & crew are okay, also. If you write about real people, please be kind. No derogatory or smutty stuff with real people.

3. Smut or Slash: Smut and slash is fine, but please remember that we like Gen limericks, too.

4. Spoiler Warnings: If your limerick includes any spoilers for any episodes, please include a spoiler warning in the subject line. If your limerick is completely spoiler free, feel free to let us know that, too. See submission format.

5. Limericks must be limericks (5 lines) and follow an AABBA rhyme scheme. You do not have to follow proper scansion. (For more information on how to write a limerick, please see this article at eHow.com.)

Submission Format

Each limerick should be posted in a separate comment. If you are submitting an epic (a story told through several limericks), that can be posted in one comment (or in one comment thread).

Each limerick should include the following information in the Subject Line:
Show: BtVS, AtS, Fray, FF
Universe: Crossover, RP (Real Person)
Category: Gen, Smut (het and masturbation falls under Smut), or Slash (we assume slash is probably also smut)
Spoilers: No Spoilers or Spoilers for [insert episode title or season]
