The list Ino was working on today was quite a bit different than the ones she'd been working on last week and she was frowning thoughtfully as she went down it and scribbled in what she'd need to get down.
Most of it, admittedly, she'd have to get her dad to do--there was only so much she could do while in another universe, after all--but it was good to plan everything out first.
Music played in the background and she absently sang along with it as she worked.

McCoy was so glad he had a job as an excuse to stay away from his little droid kid. The nurses acted childish enough, thank you. One almost cried when she broke her nail this morning.

If Millie looked a bit tired in the clinic today it was probably because she'd been up reading into the wee hours of the morning again.
Didn't seem to diminish her cheerfullness much, though!

Ino was idly drawing up lists today, all in her own language, and humming as she did so.
It wasn't quite studying, but it was something in the same general realm as it so she figured that it was good enough to 'pass' as something she could do during work.
Not, mind, that she'd have not done it if it hadn't passed—probably.
[OCDless 'cause I gotta run for the bus! Out shopping, be back laterz!]

He still had the teapot. Simon considered this a victory, but he was well aware that he had just won a battle, not the war. The nurses coldly ignored him.

Ino wheedled a deal out of the nurses. And, okay, had to put up with a fair few comments about at least she'd asked this time around. Whatever, geez.
She could be absent for a little while of her shift if she brought the nurses on duty back some of the food from the benefit.
Ino thought that was a perfectly awesome deal. So, she was in and out of the clinic today.

Mina had gotten sucked into the evil world of the internet even further.
Yes, she had a Facebook.
While she still was doing her clinic duty... she was also making sure her silly Farmville crops were not put to waste. As she thought, there were probably digital starving children in digital Europe or Asia.
You could find her behind the front desk. Trying not to look like she was on the internet.

Simon arrived early and caught one of the nurses trying to hide the teapot. When he pointed out that its place wasn't among the laundry he got a glare in reply. It didn't matter much though; he had the teapot, and that was victory enough.

Martha grumbled as she went through the copious amount of junk mail the clinic had received over the last few days. It was almost as bad as her e-mail, but she had to admit that shredding catalogs and form letters was a lot more satisfying than simply deleting messages.

Bones had plum run out of anything useful to do so he was spending the day surfing the internet, looking for games to play. Except those Facebook ones. He flat out refused to play those.

Millie was happy to be at the clinic today, though she certainly hoped no one would have need of any serious medical help while she was here. That would certainly bring her down.
The nice thing about writing a letter to her dad, while at work, was that it really was work and so Ino totally didn't feel guilty about doing it there.
Okay, so it wasn't medical work, but it could be, she supposed, if you really wanted to get creative with how to use some of her family jutsu…
She paused in writing the essay to her dad just long enough to jot that idea down on a bit of paper and then went back to work.
Huuuh.

Simon wished for a quiet day at the clinic, one where he wouldn't have to deal with whatever the nurses had against him. No such luck though. When he arrived he couldn't find the teapot, and the only response he got from the nurses on its whereabouts were smirks.

It had taken a while, but Martha had finally succumbed to playing that damn farm game that had stolen everyone else away. Granted, her farm was less farmland and more "Martha's Home for Wayward Animals Stolen From Her Feed," but she was still a bit embarrassed at herself for giving in, and was making sure to split her time between rearranging her cows into dairy buildings and checking the clinic's inventory.
Bones was spending his shift trying to work out the Sudoku puzzle in the newspaper. It wasn't going to well. Probably shouldn't have used pen.

Millie was here, bright and cheerful as ever, to help out with any clinic needs!
Ino was totally enjoying her costume and not just because it was mostly purple.
(Though, yes, that was a factor.)
It also amused her to be studying medicine in it. Her costume totally didn't look like it was the sort to think about that sort of thing. Ah well, it kept her entertained during her shift so that could only be good, right?
Right.

Twas the day before Halloween, and all through the clinic, not a creature was stirring because... Mina had gathered all the equipment for an inventory and there weren't any patients. The other staff seemed to be having a little Halloween work party, but she did not partake. For one, she was not in costume. Two, she found most of those colleagues disagreeable. Three, there was work to do. The others may feel the need to slack off, but Mina was ever diligent.
You could find her behind the front desk, if you came in.

Bones was spending his shift attempting to read medical journals. It was kind of hard to concentrate when the nurses kept talking about their Halloween costumes.
Really, did they all have to go as slutty nurses?

Millie was happily ensconced in the clinic with a good book. She'd brought a box of the latest romances for the nurses as well, so anyone coming in would have to drag someone away from their reading.
Or exchanging real life stories, all of which made Millie blush terribly.
