Okay, here's the thing. I've been hearing about people saying that we the mods don't know what we're doing. Well, since the votes seem to be going towards one comm, here's what I've done.
Go here to post which characters you are importing. Tell us the username, the character name, what their new role will be, and if they are undergoing reset or not.

Roxy has her internet back, FINALLY! It's been since October, but I am alive!
I'm sorry to anyone who I ran off from in the middle of logs and such. And hello to all the new players too.
Unfortunately it seems I've come back to chaos, but I'll play with anyone who would like to roleplay with me, otherwise my characters will be on hiatus (agian?!? OoO) until the new mods know what their doing.

| The Future of Flamingo Heights |

So as we all know, there has been a lot of chaos and confusion in the roleplay this weekend, and the future of our beloved Florida community is currently in doubt. To clarify for anyone who has not been around, the basics are these:
- On Friday, Jabbers and Naru announced that they were leaving the game and stepping down as mods. Stars and Rae stepped up to replace them and were granted maintainership of the high school. (Maintainership. Is that a word?)
- On Saturday, Mer ended the Flamingo University roleplay when Captain Planet inadvertantly destroyed the University campus. No characters were harmed in the explosion unless their muns want them to be. She has stepped down as mod.
- Several people have used this time of transition as an opportunity to change their involvement in the game by adding, changing, dropping characters or leaving the game entirely.
Despite all this, a lot of us want the Flamingo Heights tradition to continue in some way, both in the sense of RP and in the sense of the community and friendships we've formed. The chats and the friendships can continue, no problem, but rebuilding the RP will take some work. Work that I'd like everyone's input on. So I'd appreciate it if anyone who's still interested in continuing answered the following questions:
1) If given the choice of continuing to use the existing fandangohigh, flamingo_u and bonapartejrhigh comms with new mods or consolidating to one flamingoheights community, which would you prefer?
2) If given the choice of resetting the game completely or beginning the new game with our current characters' memories of past relationships and events intact, which would you prefer?
EDIT: Pocky m so smrt, I just realized there's a win-win scenario for question 2. Giving people the OPTION of resetting their characters only if they want to. *facepalm* How's that sound to folks?
Thanks everyone for your input and I'd just like to say that in spite of all that's happened, my relationships with all of you are important to me and I'd like them to continue just as I'd like the game to continue. If I personally have offended any of you during this weekend or earlier, I apologize. This is an emotional time, but if we can all let go of our anger, put the past behind us and look toward the future with some maturity and an open mind, I believe we can make this work.

Alright guys, it's been real, and fantastic, but school, some pretty big family issues as well as sheer inability to keep up with modstuff and very little drive to do so is leading me to believe it's time for me to make my goodbyes.
Stars and Rae will be your new Mods; I already made you two maintainers and I'll be taking my name off after I make this post.
I would like to say one thing before I bugger off, and that I'm disappointed in a lot of you. Naru, a person many of you had known for a year feels she no longer can mod a game, and rather than asking after her well-being and acting like mature human beings, there is an explosion of self-indulgent wank, drama and overall butthurt.
I really didn't want to go on a downer, so I'm going to wish Stars and Rae good luck and god speed, and I do hope to keep in contact with a lot of you guys.
It was fun, fabulous and great, and I hope you all who are sticking around still have fun!

I've been thinking about this a lot, even way before any of the drama with Naru dropping happened.
I've decided to drop, completely.
I haven't been active at all, my situation is not getting any better, and I'm forming unnecessary drama for myself by staying but not role playing, simply because I keep thinking that I'm making people angry at me by doing that. I need to drop, to finally let go of that stress. But... I don't want to be excluded from the wackiness that is Fanny Chat. I love the Fanny community, and I've made some really close friends here, but... my flame for RPing here is gone. I can't get it back.

Just for those of you who weren't in the chat when I announced it, I'm taking a break from logging.
That means that I will no longer be able to roleplay, but I will still be around in chats, making entries, and commenting. At least until I fix things out in my life in the next couple months. I'm estimating I will return to actual roleplay sometime after graduation which is in May.
If any of you would like to have some sort of interaction to have happened between our characters we can chat, figure it out, and then pretend we did log it and can make entries and whatnot about it, just so my characters still remain 'active' to some essence.

Edit: Also, I will be dropping my position as mod of Flammy. I do not think I made a very good mod to begin with, what with my lateness if updates and getting to the apps x.x Again sorry, but I just feel it is for the best. |

For those of you who weren't in the chat tonight, we came up with a couple of choices for all of us. Since Fandango can't really continue without the mods, Stars and I will take over and continue to moderate events, update lists, accept applications and whatever else needs to be done. This is also a great opportunity for everyone to seriously look at their characters and drop any they feel they can't keep up with anymore.
Choices:
Do we start fresh with a new community with all three schools combined for more organization?
Or do we just get the passwords to Fandango and continue to update everything here?

jabbers and i both have to hiatus from the game for a hot second because HOMGSCHOOL. but we wouldn't leave you kiddies high and dry without an event to call your own, of course, so we have a rather INTERESTING thing to try...
the no-questions-asked free-for-all do-what-you-want event!!
all bets are off for this event, which will last a week, maybe longer, till we get our lolskool stuff in order. we'll say when it ends. anyway, this means that you, the players, do NOT have to run any events by us and need no permission for ANYTHING! and everything is up for YOUR INTERPRETATION, which means we won't be answering game questions or anything. we're letting the game run itself this time, so even for character adds (and the character limit? GONE.) you don't even need to put up an app, just do WHATEVER you want. even picking up OLD characters if you want. be as ooc as you want, do as many inane plots as you wish, run amock! go wild! anything goes!
dunno if this affects the other games. bonny mods, flammy mods, it's up to you. |D |

Mmkay, I'm done reactivating and activating characters now. Rosie is back, Alice is here with her pretty kitty, and she brought along her sexy, a little silly, sexyadorablekissablesexable toy Henry. The pair are quasi-dating, but Henry always likes a little action, and having a slight tiff with Alice before doing something equally romantic is well in the cards with this boy.
