Some Basic Rules:
you will NOT be BANNED for:
not using an LJ-cut unless you go overboard with desktop-size pics,
putting up a large file unless you post many files over 1M size,
honestly forgetting to credit, especially if you didn't pass it off as your own
being a dork, a n00b, a virgin, or dumbass
you will be BANNED for:
being rude/running your mouth/being hurtful,
only making posts that promote other communities,
spamming for websites,
making a big deal about cuts, image size, etc. ruining your precious friends page,
stealing material and crediting it as your own,
posting XXX material,
being a troll
on crediting gifs:
most times our gifs are going to look a lot alike, given that we are pulling from the same source (Family Guy). so credit the community first, because my "Brian doing the Peanut Butter Jelly dance" is going to look a lot like your "Brian doing the Peanut Butter Jelly dance". if someone does something that you think is just too damn exceptional, then credit him or her.
on crediting icons:
always credit the user. you can mention the community if you like- it would be nice. icons tend to have a little more individuality and work involved in making them.
on non-Family Guy:
non-Family Guy gifs are welcome, as long as they are at least Adult Swim shows or somehow carry the "spirit" of Family Guy (like the Simpsons, for example). however, if it isn't Family Guy, it better be good. also, do not FLOOD with NFG. No porn allowed.
