Aboutthis journal is a meeting place for women who use fam as either their only form of birth control, as a supplement to another form of birth control, or for those who are using fam in order to encourage pregnancy.
we also invite male significant others of women who use fam to join, because men are just as involved in a women's charting as the woman is.

fertility friend is a good online FAM charting website. it takes some of the guessing out of charting, and you don't have to pay the 40 some dollars to download the software from toni weschler's website (but don't trust it completely, it has been known to give incorrect coverlines and ovulation dates. if you need help, feel free to post the chart and ask us. that's what we're here for)
we have learned to respect our cycles and adapt to it instead of controlling it with chemicals and unnatural hormones. with FAM you interpret the signals your body gives you, and you can choose to abstain or use condoms during those 5-7 days when you can potentially become pregnant.
