This is an AU game set during the summer between S5/S6 of Buffy and S2/S3 of Angel.

Buffy Summers. She saved the world. A lot.

Six months after Buffy died and Sunnydale has gone to rack and ruin. Demons have overtaken the town and have forced the living (the ones they haven't killed, at any rate) out onto the freeway. Next stop: Los Angeles.

In the City of Angels, Angel Investigations are feeling the pull of the loss of their own leader - sent off into retreat by the untimely death of his one-time-love, Buffy. Cordelia, lamenting on the fact that things are tougher without him around and that there aren't currently bat signals in Tibet, is surprised when the Hyperion doors open and in walks the band of buggered, the unhappy few known as the Scoobies.

Armed with little belongings and tales of despair from the town they once called home, Tara, Xander, Willow, Anya and Dawn take up residence in the hotel, trying to deal with the loss of not only their sister, friend and confidante, but also Giles - the man they loved like a father - and Spike, who no-one has been annoyed by in the past few weeks.

Back in Sunnydale, the newly turned Giles is preparing for all out war. Determined to take over Los Angeles, the former Watcher is breeding a new army, invoking powers that nobody could have quite matched with his former self - not even Ripper. He's taken to raising the dead - zombies, to be precise - along with his new chew toy. His former charge.

Enter Buffy. Ripped from Heaven by the demonic version of her father-figure, confused and hurt and sure this is hell, Buffy stumbles around town until she's eventually caught by Giles - using her for his every whim.

Back in LA and Cordelia receives a brutal vision of exactly what's happened to Buffy. Forced to claw her way out of her grave and working now for the man she loved as a father, the Scoobies team up to form a game plan, a way to get her out, not realising that there's already a Champion there. Helping. The vampire with a soul... Spike?

If you wish to apply for a character who's not on the list of taken ones (or even not on the list of characters at all) then you can do that here. We are open to most other characters joining the play, even the dead ones, providing you can come up with a semi-logical to reason as to why/how they got brought back.

Rules (shamelessly stolen and tweaked a little from twisting_fate *sheepish look*):

1. Players must post/tag every 7-10 days. You'll receive three strikes against your name for inactivity. Once that third strike has gone? You're out and we replace you.
2. No one line posts please. Posts should have some measure of content that's beyond "Went to Buffy's. Had a shag." Three or four paragraphs is expected. More than that is adored.
3. Zig! Always zig. This is when there are 14 or more replies to the thread and you reply to the original post. This stops the page from shifting and is way handy.
4. No post shall have more than 47 tags. #47 is usually the point where the next person to post makes a different place to play. This is because beyond that? The page collapses and things stop being pretty.
5. You are your own character. This doesn't mean that you strap on a pair of Gucci's and suddenly become Cordelia. This means that you play your own character - NOBODY else's. They get pissy, trust me.
6. Go join the OOC [

fdh_ooc]. You should be leaving contact info, etc and anything not related to the game in here in friends locked posts.
7. If you're going to be away for a while, let us know at the OOC.
8. If you've got a problem with another character, contact one of the darling moderators who'll help you sort something out.
9. Players must be 17 or over. This game will be knocking out some NC-17 posts - I can't control who's reading it but I can damn well control who's writing it so if you're under 17? Sorry, but this little sandbox ain't for you.
