Description:Truth. Not wishful thinking, not brainwashing, not good intentions, not superstition. Truth.
About
Truth = Empirical Evidence + Falsifiability + Universal Verifiability + Repeatability + Statistical Validity + Utility for Prediction

How To Behave:

1. Please use basic language skills. I'm not saying you will be graded on your English, but nonsensical babbling will probably be deleted.

2. Please be at least tangentially related to science, or science vs. religion, or the tactics of religious memetics, or the misuse of the word "truth," or epistemology—good or bad—as that's what people subscribe to this community to read.

3. If you are a person of faith, and believe this to be a good trait, you will not be allowed to use the primary strategies of spreading faithful memes. This especially includes simple repetition. If you repeat a point over and over without addressing refutations (especially refutations that existed before you showed up here), you will probably be silenced. Sorry it's necessary, but our point is that simple, mindless repetition stunts your intellect, and we don't want to help you in that process. Advance your own understanding and knowledge as we try to do the same for ourselves... or go away.

4. You do not have a right to be free from offense. If someone says something that hurts your feelings, discourage more of it in the future by arguing intelligently and maturely against it. Or ignore it and hope it goes away. Or leave quietly. There; you have three ways to behave like an adult, and in a mature fashion. You should expect any other kind of response to reflect more poorly on you than on the behavior that offended you in the first place.

5. If you are newly escaped from a culture of faith, please tell us your story. It's always instructive to have first-hand accounts of how the memes of superstitious indoctrination spread. We'd like to learn from you, and offer you our support as you transition to a life of pursuing truth.

6. As our knowledge of the universe changes and improves, so these rules might have to change and improve to allow us to police the celebration of science and the eradication of faith. If you're not a person with a faithful mind, though, don't worry: I will seek to preserve your liberty to speak up in favor of science and against faith.

Sorry if any of this insults anyone's intelligence. It has, unfortunately, proven necessary to spell out these basics of mature discussion in other communities.
