Includes four copies of Left 4 Dead 2 - Send the extra copies to your friends and you'll all get early access to the demo and exclusive in-game baseball bat.

I've downloaded the "Dead Before Dawn" campaign file. Sadly it's not a .vpk file. And you can't download it directly from the site (which happens to be down at the moment, go figure). It has to be downloaded through a torrent. On top of that, the zipped file that you download is 1.10 gb. Extracted, it's 2.26 gb and is comprised of over 10,000 files within the folder. The extraction is taking a LONG time on my computer for some reason. Honestly this campaign had better be worth the wait and hassle.

^ Based on the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, TX. This map is a 1:1 scale recreation of Lake Creek movie theater. Built using SketchUp and Hammer, this map includes many custom textures and models. Many of the custom textures were taken from on-site photographs.

Eddie, Keenan, and I played it today... damn good stuff. Nearly got gold just on our "upstairs" plan of attack. Sucks that we had an idiot AI on Zoey... she wouldn't move to the theatre to activate the mission. And when we "provoked her" to go (via gangland fire), she ate up all the pills, moonwalked (I KID YOU NOT), and then finally joined us in bustin' zed-heads. Despite that, fun times were had. We'll prolly play again tomorrow evening. Just look for us knuckleheads with the usual [FN] moniker on STEAM/PC. |
