Fae Kitten Earrings

Although I've posted these before in the pendant version, I had a request to include the design in my new earring line and couldn't resist!. These are the first pair of earrings, out of ten, in my limited edition set. What makes them rather peculiar is that they are actually miniature dominos, featuring my original art. They measure roughly 1" in length and are lightweight enough not to hurt or bother the ear. Protected with highgloss polyurethane. Earring hooks and findings are all sterling silver accented with swavorski crystals.

Amazing cat grows magical wings

A Chinese woman claims her cat has grown wings. Granny Feng’s tom cat has sprouted two hairy 4ins long wings. “At first, they were just two bumps, but they started to grow quickly, and after a month there were two wings,” she said. Feng, of Xianyang city, says the wings, which contain bones, make her pet look like a ‘cat angel’.

Her explanation is that the cat sprouted the wings after being sexually harassed.

“A month ago, many female cats in heat came to harass him, and then the wings started to grow,” she said.

However, experts say the phenomenon is more likely down to a gene mutation, and say it shouldn’t prevent the cat living a normal life. ananova

Fae Kitten domino Pendant - Original art & handmade

Pretty surprised I haven't posted here yet!. I have recently been making these pendants individually by hand that feature some of my previously sold artwork, a Fairy Kitten included. What makes them unique, or as some say a tad unusual, is the fact these pendants are actually real dominos. They are limited edition, hand signed and numbered. Each are accented with silver leafing on a 24" leather/suede necklace with lobster clasp and is coated with high gloss polyurethane. Where is everyone?

Happy Holidays...belatedly.

I have been wondering where everyone is :) I haven't had a lot of new paintings recently myself, however that is because I am now working on a faerie cat art doll/sculpture. I'm nervous! Mainly because I dreamed of making it for awhile and fear I will screw up. It's just an armature right now, so it looks pretty amusing.

1-5-06: The armature has begun.
It may not look like much. In fact, it looks a little funny. However, I can only hope this is the beginning of a great art doll kitty sculpture. My daughter said it looks 'silly.'

All I have is a wonky HP scanner which sadly vibrates a little while scanning. I miss my Epson. I miss my Lexmark even more. I miss when flatbeds actually had more -space- and weren't all 8x11. At least with what I can afford. So here's my goofy cat to be. Shhh.
