Did you ever just need a place to rant? Then this community is for you! Here at Factory Rejects, we welcome the exchange of varying ideas and opinions.

Factory Rejects is a rating community. And so, we ask you this: Do you have what it takes to be a 'reject'?

To become a member, you must fill out the application below to see if you are indeed a "reject". You have a week to do this. If you fail to post an application, you will be removed from the community. We require applicants to be above the age of 13. Please do not apply if the idea of being turned away by this community bothers you. Applicants must read rules before posting.

Please take your time when you fill out your application, this is not a Myspace survey. Likewise, we will take the time to read it, analyze it, and vote on it. Trust me, we know a rushed through application when we see one. You will be automatically rejected if you fail to fix an application that has poor formatting. If denied membership, you may re-apply one more time after one week.

General
1. We will absolutely not tolerate degrading remarks pertaining to religious beliefs, sexual persuasion, race or any other physical aspect of a person.
2. Do not delete posts or comments. If you have an issue with another member, please notify one of the mods through LiveJournal's messaging service. There is also an open post here at our mods only community for suggestions or problems. All comments are screened. Do not comment in the mods' personal journals!
3. All art, photography and writing is owned by their respective owners. Reproducing is covered under Fair Use, but do NOT pass off someone elses work as your own.

Applicant
1. Do not friend lock application.
2. Applicants may not comment or post anywhere but their application. First offense is a warning, second is a permaban. No exceptions.
3. Application must be behind an lj-cut. If you are unsure of what this is consult the FAQ.
4. All parts of the application must be filled out.
5. Applicants may not delete their application. If there is something wrong with the original, you are allowed to edit your post.
6. If you do not promote us, you will be rejected automatically.
7. To make sure applicants have read the rules, please have your lj-cut read "dare to be different". Applications without will be rejected and asked to fix.
8. If a member asks you to sway their vote, you must respond.
9. For reapplies only: Link us to your first application. Note at the top that it is a reapply. Failing to do so will be an automatic rejection.

Do not waste our time, if you are going to half ass an application we will reject you. Mouth off to any member or mod, welcome mat will be pulled and you'll be shown the door.

Members
1. Friend lock all posts. Any posts not locked will be deleted after 48 hours after a mod warning.
2. Do not attack other members or cause unnecessary drama. There will be no warning, you will lose points.
2. Members must vote on every application.
3. Try to give reasons as to why you voted a certain way, whether yes or no.
4. Voting is based on the application as a whole; how the answers are backed up, how well we get to know the applicant. You can like the same movie, but it can not be the reason you vote yes. It is severely frowned upon.
5. When voting, put your vote in the subject line (yes, no, or sway). Any sway's left unanswered will be counted as a no when voting has been closed. If there is a tie, mod votes count twice. Also for points, put a +5 in your subject line. If a thread starts, please delete the subject line, to make it easy on us counting votes and points.
6. Do not post that you are going on hiatus, please notify a mod through the LiveJournal's messaging service, or in the mod community screened post. (This is

mskatness's biggest pet peeve, don't do it)

mskatness has final say on all decisions. In applying and continuing membership, you agree to follow these rules.

Consequences range from time out from the community to a permanent ban from the community.

Note: Rules are subject to change as the community evolves, so check back frequently for updates. Generally, just remember to have fun and play nice.

This community is POINTS BASED. Upon Acceptance, please read this to have a better understanding of how the points system works. This system will be updated and changed as we go. Base point posts will start at midnight on the first of every month. You MUST comment to receive your starting points. If not, you lose out on free points!

Let one of the mods know if you will be gone for an extended period of time so you won't get penalized!

Member of the Month Benefits:

- One Auto-Accept/Auto-Reject on an application. (Mods will have veto power on an auto-accept if unanimous; if that happens you will still be able to use your auto-accept later). You must use this before the start of the next month.
- Host a Theme Day: You get to pick what the topic is for whatever established Theme Days we have. Or you can make your own theme day on an unestablished day!
- Your vote counts twice on applications! Just put 'MOTM//Yes' or 'MOTM//No' so we know to count it twice.
- One Spam Post Per Week: If there's a community you think we might like, you can make one post about it (One community per post and only one per week!).
