BACKGROUND:
In the year 2010, billionaire and former astronaut Jeff Tracy took his five sons to an uncharted tropical island where they built the secret headquarters of International Rescue, An organisation dedicated to helping those in need, whenever disaster strikes. They have come to be known by the name they gave their incredible machines, the Thunderbirds. From Thunderbird One, the fastest machine on the planet, to Thunderbird Five, the sattelite orbiting the Earth, the Thunderbirds have the technology - and the pilots - to rescue anyone that may need their help.
The family is joined by friends and fellow operatives as they seek to avert natural -and manmade - disasters, acting selflessly -and often in the most dangerous of situations.
CHARACTERS:
JEFF TRACY:
Jeff Tracy is the creator of the Thunderbirds, and father to the five boys.
SCOTT TRACY:
Scott is the eldest of the five sons. Scott was ten when his mother died and he has been a father figure for his five brothers ever since. After graduating Wharton Academy, Scott joined the Airforce, following in his father's footsteps. Rising through the ranks quickly, Scott left the Air Force when his father formed the Thunderbirds and quickly took control of Thunderbird One, the fastest machine on the planet.
JOHN TRACY:
John is the second eldest Tracy, and the most reserved. Joining N.A.S.A straight from Wharton Academy, John grew used to the confines of space and was the obvious choice for Thunderbird Five, the satellite 'bird orbiting the Planet. The most affected by his mothers death, John became closed off and the only thing grounded him to the real world, was his family. Although it means spending time away from his family for long periods of time, John relishes the time he spends on Thunderbird Five and is dedicated to watching the planet for any signs of disaster.
VIRGIL TRACY:
Virgil is the middle son, and loves his music. A talent he inherited from his mother, Virgil loves his piano dearly, and loves to play it in any spare time he has. After graduationg Wharton Academy, Virgil went to College to study but was pulled out when his father formed the Thunderbirds. Taking control of Thunderbird Two, Virgil loves his machine, but also respects the dangers of working for International Rescue. Reserved like John, but also outgoing, Virgil also loves to spend time in the Tracy Island gyn, working out and also as downtime, away from his brothers and family.
GORDON TRACY:
Gordon is very much the joker of the family, and has a wicked sense of humour. The second youngest, Gordon graduated Wharton Academy and spent time at W.A.S.P., through his love for water. Quickly drifting away from the career paths his father, and elder brothers, had set Gordon adored his time at W.A.S.P, but at the age of 17, suffered a Speedboat accident that broke his back. Whilst his family feared for his life, Gordon fought back and made a full recovery, although he is still marred by back pains. After his recovery, Gordon was given control of Thunderbird Three, the inter-spacial craft, although he longs to have the Sub, Thunderbird Four.
ALAN TRACY:
Alan is the youngest of the Tracy family, and longs to be a full-fledged Thunderbird like his brothers. After suffering at the hands of the Hood, Alan took control of Thunderbirds One, Two and Four in the attempt to save his family.Finally getting the respect, and position he deserved, Alan was given control of Thunderbird Four.
LADY PENELOPE:
Lady Penelope has been a friend of the Tracy family for a long time. Although the same age as his son, Scott, Jeff Tracy has taken a shine to the lovely lady. London agent for International Rescue, Lady Penelope travels the world, and is always on call should Jeff need it. She is also very dediacted to her double life.
BRAINS:
Brians is the 'brains' behind the Thunderbird Machine's and is a genius. He is very much a part of the Tracy family and the boys both respect and look up to them. As well as having a son, Brains also views the Tracy boys as his family, and is always on hand to help the boys out should they need it.
PARKER:
Parker is Lady Penelope's loyal butler, and friend and is always there to protect and serve her. Having taken a shine to the boys, Parker is willing to help them should they need him. Also an agent of International Rescue, Parker is willing to put his life on the alongside, along with Lady Penelope.
