All right! First off, Happy Easter to those who celebrate it! (Late, I'm aware.) With that out of the way, let's kick off our second challenge! Again, it's a writing challenge. If anyone would like art challenges, please feel free to comment and I'll be sure to put one up!
Challenge #2: Dear Diary, Mood:
Length: 100 - Anything!
Should you choose to accept it: It's first person introspective time! Write a journal entry by Paine (about Baralai), by Baralai (about Paine), or by another character about the two! It can be about the other(s) to any great or small extent. If you really don't like first person, you can always write a fic about the repercussions of a journal entry, or of someone writing in a journal, or something like that. That's pertaining to the challenge, but unfortunately it's not the challenge, so it really only half counts.
As usual, no deadlines, and feel free to respond to past challenges!
Of course, thanks to anyone and everyone who participated in our first challenge and anyone and everyone who still intends to do so! Let's hope for a great turnout!

It's been silent as the grave in here for a while, so why not make a post to see how everyone's doing? A few orders of business:
♥ I'd like to wish a Happy Valentine's Day to all our members! Thanks for being with us here at ED, where you can celebrate VD!
♥ I'd like to thank everyone who participated in our first challenge, and anyone who still intends to participate! There are no deadlines, only free-spirited fun!
♥ For those of you looking for some more Final Fantasy fun, check out the ever festive 2008 Final Fantasy Kissing Battle! And let's not forget what often comes after kissing... There's never a bad time to hit up the new Final Fantasy Kink Meme, or to fill a request at the old one!
♥ On behalf of Valentine's Day, don't hesitate to send in any heart day related fanwork! I'll certainly try and get some down myself (though it'll be belated, but it's the thought that counts)! There will also be new challenges coming up soon!

Hey and hello, it's time for our first challenge! This one is a sentence type of challenge! This one's a writing challenge, but if you want to draw art instead, I certainly won't stop you.
Challenge #1: Oh No You Didn't
Length: 100 - Anything!
Should you choose to accept it: It's simple! Write a fic that starts with the following sentence or something very like it: She couldn’t understand why he was being so difficult. Get creative!
I wanted to do something simple for our first challenge. Future challenges will be varied and stuff!
To kick things off, here's my own response. And oh my god, it is so Friends. xD Didn't do that on purpose, but I guess that's what happens after you marathon three seasons straight.

Not much modding one can do in a dead community. But dead is such a negative word, so I'm going to use popularity challenged instead. So, here's a post in two parts:

Second: Things to get the community going! Anyone have any ideas? I've contacted all the relevant communities who affiliate and listed our community to be added in the next update of the Final Fantasy Newbie Guide. I'll get in contact withff_press and make sure our community's on their watch list. Do you have any other ideas? Maybe I should look up the Baralai/Paine writers on FFN and see if they have LJ's. Because, you know, that's totally not grasping at straws.
Also, poll time for what you'd like to see in the community in the future! (A laquitethecouple!)

Mm-hmm! So I'm amassing a post of all the Baralai/Paine I could find with brief summaries and links. If you want your story listed, well, you can post a comment or you can just post your story to the comm. I recommend posting your story to the comm. DEW EET.
I don't have time to read every single one of these fics, so I'm just ganking the lot from the FF.net C2's then perving LJ for any not submitted to the cesspool of stupidity that is fanfiction.net. I'll try to get through them later and take down any that ignore basic laws of grammar. Hopefully there are none.

Welcome, one and all, to the christening of eye_dialogue, the first and so far only LJ comm dedicated to the FFX-2 pairing of Baralai/Paine!

Let's kick this off with some recs, then I'll go around affiliating and such, and hopefully we can get this community out there! There's just not enough love the for this pairing, I tell you what.
Anyone wishing to contribute graphics for the community is deeply loved and shall be awarded with such love! Other than that, you're free to post your fics, fanart, discussions, etc.! Just remember to abide by the very easy-to-follow rules and be polite. We're all friends here!
