Location: A stone menorah near the Museum of Spirited History
Time: Around sunset every evening from December 11th through December 19th
Warnings: Honestly, this really shouldn't require any warnings

Summary: Cynthia happens across an interesting holiday memorial and, naturally, cannot resist sticking around to admire it. She plans to check up on it periodically, so this location can easily become a meeting spot for passengers who want to talk to her or just see what the big deal is.

Summary: Al, confused by how and why he's on this mysterious train, goes to find some answers...and ends up finding a few baffling ones.

Purpose: Roommate Bonding
Location: Every room on the train (except B6)
Time: Early morning on December 4th until 24 hours later
Warnings: Language, Violence, Suggestive Themes, anything else triggered by claustrophobia or cabin fever

Summary: Everyone's doors have mysteriously been locked, so for the time being they are unable to leave and can only interact with their roommate. How long will this unfortunate mishap last?

Warnings: Be on the lookout for anything, because odds are fair that it's going to happen.

Summary: A number of guests are being given an opportunity to come on board. How will they react, and what will happen between them and the current passengers as the conductor attempts to make a social event out of it?

[[ Greetings, new and old players alike. Welcome to the second valkyrieexpress open log, in which we form our own dressing room-like roleplay for a few days. Like last year's, anyone can drop in (anonymously or not) as a character without the obligation to apply to the game. Journals can be brought in from other roleplays or those you wish to test out for our game or anything one's heart would desire. And, of course, the established players of our game are expected to join in when they wish.

However, I would like to address a few things before we proceed with this event. I wish for everyone who plays to show respect, courtesy, and friendliness to the others. This roleplay promotes these aspects above all else, so those who are joining us for this log are expected to adhere by such guidelines like the others.

No characters that are already taken in this list are allowed to be brought in. Similarly, if a character you play is already participating in the log, do not intentionally bring him/her in. 'Doubles' just end up making both the characters and players severely confused.

However, one exception this year is that AU versions of characters can be brought in. For example, if you wish to play an Alphonse Elric from the Harry Potter universe, you can! As a reminder, original characters are also allowed to be brought in.

This log, while being Thanksgiving themed, does not mean the characters have to do any activities relating to the holiday. Everyone will have access to every spot on the train, including the individual rooms. Anything can happen that one would like to, be it humorous or dramatic or action-y or romantic. Try to build up to whatever it is that you'd like to have happen, though. Also, the TV in the lounge will be playing Elf continuously on every channel for the next four days. Commentary on how repetitive the movie is for being on for that long is welcomed.

Additionally, the characters are not aware that this is a temporary arrangement. For all they know, everyone is coming to stay here like the rest of the VE cast. So, it will probably come as a shock to the others when they disappear suddenly at the end of this event. Of course, applying for a character that participates in the log will likely ensure that they won't leave on the 29th.

To make it easier, you can label the comment header with the location your character is currently in. For example, someone can put 'Arcade Cart' to let others know that a particular character is in that room during the thread.

Multiple threads are allowed to be made. There will be four comments listed with a 'November 26th' to 'November 29th', which will represent a different day in the log. Characters can be there for just one day or can come out throughout all four. It's up to the player to decide how much they wish to play. More than two characters can play in a thread, but it is recommended that you prearrange this with them. You may contact starbeii or fungopus on AIM for more information regarding this.

While we're sure there will be characters from the same series interacting here, I would like to encourage everyone to branch out from that and try playing with characters from different series. After all, this is a multifandom game that enjoys crossover interaction.

As a warning, non-VE characters are NOT allowed to comment in the VE journals. On the flip side, VE characters are NOT allowed to comment in the outsider journals either. Anyone caught doing so will forfeit their eligibility to apply/continue playing for the game, no exceptions.

We will be writing this out in log style. If you're not sure what that means, look through the other entries in express_logs to get a feel of what it's like. For further details, you can also refer to last year's open log.

Summary: Based on what she knows, Signy has chosen a location to meet with someone where she was certain that things would remain... confidential.

Purpose: To bother Conductor-san with trivial things at odd hours of the night

Time: Past midnight on Wednesday, November 11th (though decidedly not the Dark Hour)
Warnings: The typical doses of mild language and suggestive themes

Summary: Refurbishments to the train are nearly complete and the Conductor is standing outside, looking upon her vessel of sorts with a sense of accomplishment. Enter some crazy kids with problems, among others.

Summary: Yoko decides to spend a nice couple of hours at the specialty restaurant. However, she doesn't know that she's about to be approached by someone of a certain significance.

Purpose: To catch fireflies and get fortunes told

Summary: Tami had officially begun the firefly catching game, complete with a reception table and private fortunetelling booth at the entrance to the field where everyone could report to during the event. The evening weather was perfect, and the fireflies were out and about.

Summary: Seeing that the passengers were so glum over Ran's death, Tohru decided to organize a funeral to say goodbye to her.

Summary: Amadeus spent the last stop fashioning school uniforms and whatever other cloth he could get his hands on into some classy ladies wear, and now he's in the lounge with the ambition if giving it away to anyone who wants it.
