Ron seeks Hermione's help on his Transfiguration essay... BUT NOT REALLY. [22 Aug 2004|02:51am]

[ music | HERMIONE KEPT ME UP ALL NIGHT, THE HOR. ]

Ron hastily made his way down to the library, hoping that he had not left Hermione waiting for too long. It wasn't his fault, really. He would've arrived sooner if he didn't have to keep returning to his dormitory to retrieve a quill and parchment. The only thing that had been on his mind was meeting Hermione in the library, and for that reason, his eagerness got the best of him, and he continuously forgot the real reason he was supposed to be meeting her there -- Or the reason they'd agreed upon, at least. He eventually got his thoughts in order and walked through the doors with the proper supplies to complete his Transfiguration essay. Upon his entrance, he looked around in search for Hermione, wondering if she had already left out of frustration.

Hermione sat at her usual table at the back of the room, feeling uncharacteristically fidgety in what was normally her comfort zone. She flipped restlessly through books, nibbled on quills, twisted a lock of hair around her finger. She was there to meet Ron, to help him with his Transfiguration essay (as she had to keep reminding herself), and he was running late. Twitching her foot nervously, she berated herself for worrying. Dating status aside, Ron was Ron, and this wasn't exactly surprising. With a sigh, she tried to read page 675 again in her Transfiguration text.

Ron let out a sigh of relief when he found that Hermione was still there, seated at the table in the back of the room. "Er... Sorry I'm late," he said with a guilty grin, sounding more nervous than he had intended. He had been looking forward to their meeting all day, had planned out everything he was going to say his head, and he could not understand the feeling of uneasiness he had inside him. "You haven't been waiting too long, have you?" he asked, feeling slightly anxious.

Hermione's face lit up when Ron arrived. She closed her book with a snap, startling herself a bit. "There you are!" she exclaimed, more relief in her voice than she had intended. "I haven't been here too long, don't worry." She smiled at the redhead and nervously ran a hand through her hair, instantly wondering if she looked all right. Shaking that inane thought away, Hermione decided to be brave (they were supposedly dating after all), and dropped a kiss on Ron's cheek. "So," she continued, reopening her Transfiguration book, "how far have you gotten?"

I'm feeling very ambitious... )

Log: Lisa and Luna talk about April Fools, Hogsmeade and then snog! [17 Aug 2004|07:50pm]

__lisaturpin

Lisa sat, as she seemed to enjoy doing in the Ravenclaw-Slytherin Commons, in one of the squishiest and fluffiest chairs, legs crossed in a lotus fashion, an open book rested in her lap and her bright blue eyes were locked on it's pages. She nibbled nervously on her school tie, as if what was happening in the book was absolutely heart stopping. Her brows were furrowing together and a stricken expression crossed upon her features. "No..no.. don't go through that door!" she muttered quietly, her body stiffening in panic.

Luna walked down the stairs to the girl's dorm, yawning slightly. She'd just gotten up from a nap, so her uniform was a little wrinkled. She paused at the foot of the stairs, chewing on her lip, and looked around the Common Room. She spotted the familiar blonde hair of her former-and-hopefully-still-despite-the-April-Fool's-fiasco-girlfriend who seemed entirely absorbed in the novel. "Boo!" Luna said, putting her hands in front of Lisa's eyes.

"IT WAS THE BUTLER!" Lisa cried, book flying up into the air and falling dangerously close to the roaring and wickedly crackling fire. Hands fluttered to her madly beating heart, and if not for them being covered, one might see those eyes wide with fright. Gasping a bit still, she managed to choke out, "L.. Luna! You gave me a bit of a fright!" For she knew that voice anywhere. Now that the identity of the 'Boo-er' had been discovered, the blonde waited patiently for Luna to remove her hands from her eyes, a small grin and flush creeping onto her features.

Luna jumped with Lisa as the book sailed perilously close to the fire. She hadn't quite meant for Lisa to be that surprised. "I'm sorry," she said, removing her hands and going to pick up the book. She offered it to the other girl. "So... How have you been?"

Harry and Hermione come to terms with everything. [10 Aug 2004|04:46pm]

harryjames
[ mood | relieved ]

Harry walked into the library and paused, thinking for a moment of all the things that had happened in this room over the last year. He smiled to himself, though a little bitterly. After a moment, he adjusted his pack, deciding that it was best not to dwell on things right now, good or bad. He made his way towards the back of the library, looking for the familiar messy curls of Hermione.

Hermione sat at the far back table, books and parchment spread all around her. N.E.W.T.s were fast approaching, and between the April Fools fiasco and her new relationship with Ron, she had been shirking off studying like she had never done before. Now, although her head was bent into a book and she was flipping pages, she wasn't paying much attention. Instead, she was nervously waiting for Harry, whom she hadn't spoken to in a month.

Harry smiled faintly as he saw Hermione amidst a pile of books and parchment. It was like nothing had every changed, except a lot of things had... He sighed, readying himself for anything that might come, and walked over, dropping his bag down on the floor. "Long time no see."

It was embarrassing enough that our first kiss was in the Great Hall. I would hate to be on a poster all around school! )

Log: Pansy and Daphne; 'girl talk'! [24 Jul 2004|03:31pm]

[ mood | content ]

Daphne was still fuming from her last encounter with a certain member of a another house, more specifically a member of the House of Ravenclaw, even more specifically a certain lad whose name began with a 'T' and ended in 'erry', specific enough? Well. The dark haired Slytherin was sitting on her bed, the curtains weren't drawn, of course, reading, or trying to at least. She was far too frustrated at the moment to have the concentration to read her book, but she had to at least maintain some sort of appearance of a calm, cool and collected girl.

Pansy strutted, much like Draco does, into the girl’s dormitory. She came in, in hopes to relax a bit, or rather wallow in her teenage sorrows. She did not notice he fellow female housemate at first, so she continued toward her bed.

The girl froze, glancing up slowly, but upon seeing it was only Pansy she relaxed again. Here was the perfect opportunity to vent her anger and emotions! Pansy had become easy prey the moment she went against the near unspoken taboo of dating the Boy Who Lived. A grin tugged at her thin lips and she straightened, shutting her book quietly. "Hello, Parkinson," Daphne said quietly, making quite sure that Pansy knew she was not welcome by emphasizing Pansy's last name rather than first.

Pansy, a bit caught off guard, spun to see who it was that was addressing her, when she noticed that it was none other than Daphne, she sighed. Daphne was definitely one of the people she had been hoping to run into. "Not today Daphne, I'm really not in the mood for it." She headed toward her trunk, which resided at the end of her bed.

'Girl talk? Daphne, are you feeling all right?' )

Log: Terry and Daphne; the two have a bit of a spat in which Daphne gets a bit miffed. [22 Jul 2004|02:23pm]

greenergrass__
[ mood | bitchy ]

Terry sat in the commons reading through his charms notes throughout his years at Hogwarts. NEWTs were coming up and he had to get ready. He had to do well. Well, just on principle.

Daphne had been watching Terry as she often watched her fellow students, dark eyes staring and mouth turning into an increasingly larger and large sneer. Disgusting little Ravenclaw bookworm. How typical to see the pouf of Ravenclaw studying like some sort of demented idiot. Humpf! Stare!

Terry could have continued but felt as if someone was looking at him. He glanced up and noticed the Slytherin. In a deadpan voice, he asked, "Yes...may I help you?"

Oh honestly! Didn't that Boot idiot ever talk in anything but that monotone? Daphne had heard that for April Fools he had turned into a girl and wondered vaguely if his had ever changed. Probably not, Daphne decided after another good and creepy stare the boy. The Slytherin was clearly ignoring his question, she wasn't about to answer such a stupid question! After a moment of silence, Daphne did, however, speak.

'Shouldn't you be off shagging that Gyffindor? What's his name.... Finnyagian?' )

Harry, Susan, Lisa, Seamus and Colin talk in the Courtyard. [19 Jul 2004|01:59am]

harryjames
[ mood | prattish ]

By now all the snow had melted and the mud had dried from the Hogwarts grounds. It was sunny, April, and a Sunday. What other reasons did one need to be outside? Harry was sitting in the courtyard relaxing under the afternoon sun. A soft breeze was blowing, tugging gently at his robes. He sighed contentedly. It was so peaceful that one could almost forget everything that had happened over April Fool's.

Susan slumped out into the courtyard, looking rather displeased. Her short hair was tucked neatly behind her ears and her eyes seemed to me glaring at all (little furry rodents that scampered about included). Why was she so distraught? Well. To put it simply, she was still skulking about the April Fool’s Day prank. And why shouldn't she?! She only BETRAYED her house. Not just any house. HERS! And whoever did it.. she was going to wring their little necks.

Seamus and Colin had been scouting their location on the Quidditch pitch, and were heading back towards the school. Seamus was very excited about the posters, particularly about the Oliver/George one. "It's going to be bloody brilliant!" He gushed to Colin as they entered the courtyard. "I reckon just looking at the poster will get people to join! Who could resist lads as fit as they!?" He grinned.

'Well in any case, he needs to stop being such a prat!' )

Seamus and Harry discuss April Fool's and Broom Closets. [15 Jul 2004|01:22am]

harryjames
[ mood | worried ]

Who didn't know that the 'trio' was having internal issues lately? It was all too apparent by the way they didn't sit together as often in classes and at the lunch table. And today was no different. As Harry entered the Charms classroom he paused for a moment to search out an empty seat far from Ron and Hermione. He was still too furious to even talk to the first, and too ashamed and maybe a little bitter to approach the second. One table remained. By Seamus. Immediately, he had a flashback involving Seamus's bra shining through a wet shirt and pressing against not-his-but-his-nonetheless bare chest. He rubbed the bridge of his nose, groaning inwardly. Okay, Seamus was a boy again. There was no need to think of him like that anymore. So cautiously Harry walked over to the empty seat and smiled nervously. "Is this seat taken?"

Seamus looked up, a bit surprised to see Harry. "Nah, sit down." Seamus told him, with an inviting smile. "So you're not avoiding me anymore then?" It hadn't hit him as much when Harry was Justin, because he wasn't used to Harry being Justin, nor to seeing Justin, but when Harry continued to avoid him just as much as Harry-as-Justin had done, it had finally sunk in.

Harry blinked. It seemed Seamus somehow had figured out that he was Justin. His anxious grin did not abate, instead tightening a little sheepishly. "Um..." Was it so apparent? He shook his head and sat down, deciding to altogether avoid that question. "So... Guess you're glad to be back to normal," he said, as he pulled out his parchment, quills and wand out of his bag.

Well, I don't imagine he fancies dogs or anything. )

Harry and Terry talk about April Fool's. [15 Jul 2004|01:12am]

harryjames
[ mood | worried ]

Harry was idly doodling on his Transfiguration notes in the library. He was too bored (not to mention he had a bit of a headache) to continue his attempts at studying. All he really wanted to do was sit out on the pitch and watch Spring taking place. Alas, it was not to be, because with Spring also came the onset of N.E.W.T.s, and he couldn't deny that they didn't have much time left before the life-changing exams. He sighed and scratched his cheek, leaving a messy smear of ink across it. At any rate, N.E.W.T.s or no, he just couldn't seem to concentrate today.

Terry was also studying for the NEWTs and he had felt he was far behind. As he walked into the library, he noticed Harry and took a place across from him, "Do you mind if I sit here, Harry?"

Harry shook his head. "Not at all," he smiled at the Ravenclaw. Unfortunately, Terry probably was going to study, which meant that he wouldn't be interested in entertaining the bored Gryffindor. Well, it didn't hurt to try. "How have you been?"

"Oh...wonderful. Anything is better than being a girl..." Terry declared as he opened up a book. "What about you?"

'Define normal...' 'Um... Not half-naked Quidditch players tussling about in the showers.' )

Ron and Seamus talk about the prank and Ron's DOOM. [08 Jul 2004|09:55pm]

ronaldweasley_
Seamus was perched on his bed, having charmed his mirror to float there, humming to himself as he did his hair. He was so glad to have it back the way it was supposed to be that he was taking extra care with every little spike today. Every so often, it hit him that he was a boy again, and he would grin at his reflection.

Ron could be seen turning discontentedly in his bed. He had convinced himself that he was simply having a nightmare and spent most of the morning trying to wake up from it. "Am I awake yet?!" he asked as he pushed the covers away from his head. He noticed Seamus and asked again, "I was just dreaming, right?"

"Dreaming about what?" Seamus asked, pausing to fix a spike, and then turning towards the ginger haired Gryffindor. Who was not charming, sexy, or endearing. He thought of Hermione.

Ron sighed in relief when Seamus expressed his ignorance on the matter. It was a good sign (or so he thought). "It was a bloody nightmare!" he exclaimed as he sat up in his bed. "I dreamt... I dreamt that you were a girl... And Zacharias was a girl... And that I was evil!" he explained without going into detail.

'...I reckon we'll all be so glad that this is over with that we'll forgive everyone anything.' He said. 'If not, people are going to be angry for a long time...' )
