exclusivepump is a support community for moms who pump breastmilk for their babies.
When you join, please introduce yourself. Include information about your child, the circumstances under which you chose to pump, what pump you use and your pumping habits. Feel free to ask questions. Please support other members if you can answer their questions.

buttercup22 - I created this community for mothers that want to breastfeed, but are unable to. I wanted people to be aware that EXCLUSIVELY PUMPING is an option. I am now weaning, but have been EPing for a year. I wanted to BF, but I have inverted nipples, and my son could not obtain a proper latch. I decided that I wanted my son to have breast milk for as long as I could provide it, so I pumped. At first, I thought I was the only person in the world that would consider doing this. I am not. I found a WONDERFUL support system at ivillage
This is a message board for Exclusively Pumping. It is the only resource I had I have found, so I decided to create this one.
pickychicky1979 I have two children, Scotty (5/04) and Wyatt (9/06.) Scotty was induced at 37 weeks and after 12 hours of "natural" med free labor we both developed a temperature and a c-section was done. We spent 5 days in teh hospital and had breast feeding issues so I decided breast milk was best no matter how he got it. I pumped for him for 8 months until I became pregnant with Wyatt. Wyatt was born at 36 weeks due to HELLP syndrome and spent 10 days in the NICU. I began pumping for him and did so for 11 months while also providing milk for a friends baby. I had no mentor and or peer group who had pumped so I searched for one online and found here as well as yahoogroup that was a big help. I have personal expierene with the PIS, the Symphony both by Medela and anecdotal expierence about the Lactina. I used domperidone briefly as well.
