Okay, some of you guys expressed concerns about my putting this place on hiatus, so allow me to explain. chellaaaa created this community and disappeared without a trace. Yes, technically I'm a maintainer, but I still only signed on as help. I don't feel like I have the authority to call new mods because it really still isn't my community, if that makes sense. I appreciate your wanting to help, and if a few months down the road chellaaaa is still missing in action, I will more than gladly turn the community over to one of you who expressed interest.

In the meantime, however, for those of you who are not already members, I would suggest going to play at watson_icontest. Their contests are run pretty much like ours and of course, the topic is still Emma. If you want Hermione, hermione_stills is also a lot of fun, gives you the chance to play with bases, and I'm semi-partial to it because it's the first icontest I participated in.

Hey guys. Here's the Challenge 12 voting. Just so you all know, I've decided this will be our last challenge. Unless I hear from chellaaaa, the community is going on a permanent hiatus after this round has been voted on and banners have been made. I made the decision based on losing one member of staff and not getting a response from two. One mod and one banner maker just isn't enough to run a community.

But enough of that. On to voting!

navi_glow has already expressed the need to step down as a mod (which is perfectly acceptable; anybody in the icontest world knows how hard she works), but if you guys would like to stay on staff, I need to know. Otherwise I'll just start taking applications and start from scratch. But I can't do it alone; I've got my own abundance of icontests and writing contests to worry about, especially with hp_grand_tests's official start this week.

So, staff, no staff?

Also, my community, hp_grand_test, is starting round two, and since I know most of you guys are surely big HP fans, I would love to have some of you come participate (if you aren't already, ha). Round two sign-ups are here.

hp_grand_test is much like a LIMS, but without an elimination at the end of each challenge. It's a battle to the end! Everyone stays in all ten rounds, everyone continues to participate, and at the end, we name the winner. Tired of an off-week getting you out of a contest? Come play with us!
