I'm a mod, and did this tutorial: http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/farp/theart/alcleaning/alcleaning.html So since I'm definitely able to talk about poor scanning, I figured I should also help do stuff about poor scanning. Like help fix it. Also, if anyone uses paintshop pro, or the gimp, I whole heartedly recommend that they do a scan cleaning tutorial. *desperate cry for help*
I have recently uploaded an image on Elfwood, but it really bothers me cuz it has a dark line running down the center. As it was a really big pic, I had to scan it in in two pieces and then piece it together in MS Paint (the only program I have, I used a friends scanner). When I finally was able to match up the two pieces it turns out that one side scanned in slightly darker than the other, resulting in a dark band down the center :-( Does anyone know how to fix this (using only MS Paint)? Hi, guys. Just joined Elfwood a few days ago. I have yet to upload any of my drawings due to so many bad scans. All the lines keep smudging together (the picture's drawn in pencil if that information helps any in fixing the problem) and some of the minor detailing doesn't show up. I tried using the 'sharpen' tool but the entire image goes grainy. Help? ~ Nichole ps. Where can I find a stump? What do the packages look like?
