thoughts
i'm thinking about why the evolutionary approach is so hard sometimes for a lot of people to take, and why it often isn't but is just not grasped.
it brings me to the conditioning of the cultures.
i'm watching the entirely gigantic saturnian machine gummed over the faces and hearts of people everywhere, and am in deep desire to shake each person by the lapels and do whatever i can to help them wake up.
it's hard to take because it's so foreign to how we're trained and encouraged to think. i'm reminded of all the folks i know with saturn-chiron in pisces opposing pluto-uranus in virgo. a lot of those i know with this are doing what they can to bring ancient teachings out of the fog of forgetfulness. they inspire me to focus on the goal...whatever goal, whatever it is. seeing people compelled to change things...i guess i should note that i know a lot of them with these bodies in the 3rd-9th axis.

i've been rereading jeff green's first pluto book, which includes material on the evolutionary states of souls. my opinion is that this is extremely valuable when dealing with clients, so that you know "where that person is" in their journey, but never should be discussed with clients. i can't tell if the people using it in their practices are keeping a veil on it or not, but it definitely can confuse things.

i've been working slowly on a few astrological topics:
-dynamics stirred & opportunities offered by the transiting lunar nodes through houses
-the relationship between fear and desire
-the desire to believe (we hoodwink ourselves when we reaaaaallly want something to be true that isn't)

this looks like a personal LJ post, but i thought i'd see if any conversation wanted to get started on anything, anything at all in EA.

I always thought people don't jump on the evolutionary astrology bandwagon because it implies personal responsibility, rather than a barrage of excuses for ones behaviour.

i hear you.
seems like it's comforting to have an idea that what will happen will happen, and you don't have to make it happen...but then it also seems like all those people live in near-constant fear of what will happen.

Why do you feel that a person's "evolutionary state" should be kept from them? Must it always be "confusing" to discuss that sort of thing?

I suspect that information of that... sort.. could be imparted in a useful way if it is presented in language the querrent can relate to.

For me, at least, everything about a reading comes down to a querrent's "evolutionary state" (though I wouldn't necessarily phrase it that way.) The point it so help identify where a person is and where they might be going, what the consequences of their past and future actions might be, what karmic trends are pushing/pulling - all the things that factor into one's personal evolution. I see no reason to veil anything.

Perhaps if you were to go into specifics about the material...?

there seems to be some cultural cache, at least in my perception of the times we live in (and maybe my geography, too), that being spiritual is better than being other things. maybe also my personal bias in there. so i think it's weird to tell people their state because of the cultural investment in being materialistic but then telling people it's bad in the same breath. hm, more to think on about that - i feel like my answer(= understanding) is missing something.

the states are:
-dimly evolved (2-3% of population): developmentally fucked or retarded, these people need to take a rest this life from barging ahead with evolution (or coming in from other life forms - animals or from other worlds - getting acclimated to being here) - the agenda is about resting
-concensus state (75% of population): herd people who do what others tell them & need to - the agenda is about following
-individuated state (20%): rebels, commonly illustrated in acvitists - political, etc. - the agenda is about expressing individuality in relief to the status quo
-spiritual state (2-3%): people who believe that protesting a new walmart isn't as important as getting through to the spirit in individuals & touching them - the agenda is about seeing behind people's personas and touching that

and then there are three stages in each of the latter three. i don't have that info yet.
