ANIME & MANGA - A new GC line!
Anime and Manga fans unite! Good Judy has created some awesome blends based on the beautiful art genre. Blends include:
Bishounen: Both in Anime and Manga, a Bishounen is the epitome of a beautiful boy whose looks cross sexual (and sometimes gender) boundaries. Bishis are typically sexual eye-candy rendered with dreamy, delicate features, long flowing hair, and slender eyes and are irresistible to both genders. Think Fruits Basket, Gravitation, and Ouran High School Host Club! Cyperus, black tea, lilac, neroli, pheromones
Chibi: A descriptive term where characters are shrunk down into little or short, cutesy (though not always), caricatures. Sometimes interchangeable with the term Super Deformed, Chibi refers mostly to a characters stature, while Super Deformed refers to the caricature style of art. Yuzu, white tea, white pepper, cedar, nutmeg, ginger
Gosurori: GothLoli’s depict a demure, well-bred yet stylized blend of dark, brooding Gothic and cute, childlike Lolita…a throw-back to the genteel, prim and proper eras. Whether wearing Victorian, Rococo, or Edwardian, knee-length dresses, petticoats and crinolines, ribbons and lace, over-knee stockings, boots or Mary Janes, top hats and parasols, Gothic Lolita’s are in perfect style! Anime/Manga include Bizenghast , Rozen Maiden, and DOLL. Earl Grey, sugared rose petals, vanilla cream
Kemonomimi: Typically cutesy human characters that possess animal-like features from wolf or bunny ears, to cat or fox tails, to wings or whiskers. Kemonomimi characters are more human than animal, and more times than not their animal features are removable. Kemonomimi characters are seen throughout all genres of anime and manga. Vanilla bean, rum, chocolate covered cherries, black figs, amber, cardamom, coriander
*Due to the natural components of this blend, oil separation may occur. Mix before applying.
Mahou: Magic, magical beings, witchcraft and sorcery! Many Anime and Manga stories contain Mahou Shoujo (Magical Girl) characters such as in Sailor Moon, Magical Girl Pretty Sammy and Saint Tail. Mahou themes can also be found in Mahou Shounen Majorian and Mei no Naisho. Magical elements: Earth, Fire, Water, Wood, Metal
Mecha: Mecha is derived from the Japanese word Meka and is an anima/manga genre involving robots and/or machines as central characters. Popular Mecha stories include Gundam, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Transformers, and Robotech. Weathered metal, grinding gears, worn leathered seats and the cool glow of the nav system
Seme: Restrained and protective, Semes are often the older and taller counterpart in the Boys Love anime genre known as Yaoi. Often brooding and always sexy, these guys take “top” in the relationship. Linen, cotton, leather, dark woods, sexy spices, masculine musk
Shoujo: Shoujo is all things girly! Images of fairy tales, summer romances, slumber parties, whispered secrets, giggles, best friends, boys, flowers, and those sugary sweet and innocent teenage years. Fushigi Yugi, Ayashi no Ceres, and anything from CLAMP offer Shoujo at its finest! Apricot, sugar cane, candy hearts, white florals
Uke: Whatever flavor, shy or outgoing, Ukes are the younger, more androgynous (even feminine) counterpart in the Boy Love anime genre of Yaoi. Fiercely loyal to their Seme, Ukes can be slightly annoying, but always cute in their devotion. Sexy and hot! Vanilla musk, cotton candy, cherry, cream
Yaoi: Pretty boys! Boy on boy love! From the implied to the explicit, Yaoi is all about male beauty and male on male passion. Lusty, drama-filled, sexy, turbulent affairs that leave you breathless for more. Check out Gravitation, Loveless and for you hard-core Yaoi fans (wink wink), there’s Sensitive Pornograph (the name says it all)…and those don’t even scratch the surface. Bergamot, juniper, oakmoss, white peach, black coconut, rose, jasmine
Yuri: Pretty girls! Girl on girl love! Largely, and unfortunately a lesser-known genre in the West, Yuri parallels Yaoi by depicting romantic, tender and tumultuous relationships between two women. Watch Strawberry Panic, Revolutionary Girl Utena and Bubblegum Crisis. Oriental woods, Asian pear, water lotus, almond
CURIO SHOPPE
Our scouts have found even more artifacts of legend and lore, and Good Judy has made them available to you!
Clurichaun's Ardig: An actual drinking vessel from a Clurichaun! No small feat to find one of these either! You try taking a drinking goblet from Faery Folk known for being intoxicated and fiercely protective of their drink. No small feat I tell you. That goblet is well seasoned and has seen well over a millennium’s worth of libations. Why the very smell alone is liable to make you drunk with glee! Irish cream, Irish whiskey, orange poitin, and shamrocks for luck
Cursed Cameo: Don’t be fooled by its beauty, by its seemingly delicate nature! Well over one hundred years old, this cameo is a splendid piece of jewelry marred by a fearsome curse. Given to a scorned wife as pacification from her flagrantly cheating husband, the wife was rumored to have dispatched of each of her husband’s affairs with a chilling and cold-blooded fervor, all while wearing the cameo. Now the cameo is cursed to bring torment and discord to its wearer, keeping them forever miserable and alone. Well, yes, I don’t see why you can’t hold it. Only please refrain from putting it around your neck. We are not sure how swift-acting the curse is. Come to think of it, maybe it’s best if you didn’t hold it at all. One can never be too careful! White lily, iris, jasmine, magnolia, grapefruit, peach
The Gazing Mirror: You’re holding an antique Gazing Mirror, beautifully crafted from ironwood with a floral mother-of-pearl and gilded amber inlay. But look carefully. Notice there’s no reflection? That’s why it’s called a Gazing Mirror, a “mirrorless” mirror. It’s not meant to reflect, it’s meant to see. It shows you things. Wonderful things. Haunting things. What do you see? Ironwood, mother-of-pearl, gilded amber
Spirit Bottle: Lhunassi: This Spirit Bottle boasts the spirit of Lhunassi, powerful Moon Goddess and keeper of the stars. She will guide you on your spiritual journey for increased fertility and appease your need for nurturing and love of others. Herbs, spices, moonflower, white champa, knotted twine (to bind the spirit)
Spirit Bottle: Sudice: This Spirit Bottle boasts a Sudice, spirit of Fate. Fortune, destiny, romance, and even justice, the Sudice Spirit is a treasure to have and its possessor will surely be well taken care of. Herbs, spices, black coconut, bourbon vanilla, gardenia, lavender, rose, knotted twine (to bind the spirit)
Wendigo Heart: A very dangerous artifact for the Curio Shoppe, we hesitated to even put it on display. Inside that freezer box is the well-preserved icy heart of a Wendigo, a once-human creature that instills terror to the minds of many in the Great North. Legend has it that any man resorting to cannibalism will turn into a Wendigo and that the Wendigo’s heart is frozen solid. They are known to stalk hunters or travelers hiking through the woods and are also known to eat moss and lichen in times of desperation. The only way to destroy a Wendigo is to melt its frozen heart. Frozen tundra, icy wind, Wendigo blood, moss, lichen
IN THE MOOD

Hot to Trot: Muy caliente! Give off some sweet heat! This is an arousing, intense blend of herbs and spices sure to heat up any situation and get the blood flowing. Ginger root, candied ginger, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, pepper, creamed sugar, chocolate ganache
Jolt: Wake up! Get revved and ready to go go go! Cuban coffee, black tea, double shot of espresso, spices
Release: Let it go. Dissipate worry and make fear disappear. Release! Rosemary, lavender, white sandalwood, frankincense, myrrh
SIGNATURE SCENTS
These new blends are very near and dear to my heart!
Kelly: What up cuz?! Kelly is my girl! She’s my favorite cousin and the only one I consider true family. That’s saying a lot seeing as I have hundreds of cousins on my mom’s side of the family alone. Kelly and I have been tight since we were young. Two peas in a pod we were. Always shaking things up. Always making waves. Always left of center. Sweet as pie and tough as nails, I’ve always been proud of her and what she has accomplished (survived?). She’s a tough broad with a great attitude who doesn’t put up with anybody or anything standing in her way. Peony, stargazer lily, violet, lilac, tea rose, patchouli, moss
Mother Mary: For my mother, with all my love. I’ve been working on this one for a while. It had to be just right. This one is for my mom.
My mother and I were great friends. Pals for life. We could talk for hours and talk about anything and everything. She was my confidant and my shoulder to cry on. She was my biggest fan! My mother was a no-nonsense, kind-hearted, and loving person who gave everything for her family (most times at great personal sacrifice). Like many, her confidence was an illusion, but her love was not. That woman shined bright and fierce for 58 years. Whether it was running her self-made business, or pleasing her you’ll-never-be-quite-good-enough-for-us parents, she worked hard her whole life. At the end of her time on this Earth, my mother finally caught a brief glimpse of her true purpose. She saw herself for who she truly was…and I was there to see it with her. That recognition made my life, and hers, complete. My mom passed away in 2003. I was holding her hand when her spirit left, and it was the most beautiful and heartbreaking moment of my life. She is missed.
Mary cannot be described by notes. It has to be experienced to be enjoyed. There are many pieces to this intricate puzzle but all are painstakingly and lovingly put into place to form a bigger picture. Larger than life, yet modest in its subtlety, Mary is a complex yet grounded blend of florals and spices that perfectly compliment its namesake.
and lastly
Sugar Kisses is available exclusively at Scent Addict.
Good Judy has created an exclusive blend of confectionery perfection, which is far from gourmand, yet smacks of sugary sweetness. If only lips were made of sugar, then kisses would be sweeter. Slather on Sugar Kisses, lick your lips, and pucker up. But, don’t be fooled! These Sugar Kisses have a little bite. Sucanat, turbinado, brown sugar, pink peppercorn, rosemilk, and the sweetest kiss of benzoin
There you go! Lots of new, beautiful blends to choose from! Enjoy!
Love and light.
