I'm not sure if this question's allowed, so if this is against any rules, or there's already an FAQ about this somewhere, feel free to delete it.

I'm trying to put the ads on my LJ underneath my sidebar, but when I change ad placement to 'vertical', the advertisement floats on the left side of my entries, and that's squishing my entry text, as my sidebar is located on the right.

If anyone knows how to make the ad float under my sidebar, or in between the boxes of my sidebar, that would be really great.

When I post entries under a lj cut, they appear on the plain white background provided. How do you change it so that the entries appear as if they were on the main layout/background? I still want them under a lj cut, I just don't want the plain white background. How would I go about doing that? I'm using the S2 system, with one of the provided layouts from livejournal.

I was wondering if there is an override to make all images outside of LJ-cuts the same dimensions. Through all my layout switches I've had to individually resize my images so they look nice on my front page and it's a pain.
Is there a code I can add to set a width for all images? Thanks!

I've been trying to customize my sidebar, and whenever I go to put pictures on it, they won't show up. Does anyone know the code that will work for me to post pictures? Also where do I put the code for the sidebar photos? Please help, i've been trying to do it all day!

I keep changing my lj layout but whenever I go to preview it, it doesn't show up? When i go back to the custom CSS section, it has the old layout code I was using. I've been saving the changes I've made, but it still isn't working. Any reasons why?

Problem you are having: I'm not sure how I messed this up. It's simple coding. But SOME HOW I botched it up really bad. The images aren't there, the coding isn't the problem I don't think, and just a whole ot of mess. The lay out I have right now is supposed to look like this. The coding is under an friends only post from the maker, so I might have to show you both. Because who knows, maybe I messed something up in there after all.

Hi. I feel stupid having to ask this but LJ's FAQ's confuse me. I have a journal that I am using to store my fanfics in. I want to do this

I can't figure out which code I need to enable a possible reader to click on chapter one and get taken to that chapter. I know there is a way to do it as I see it all the time but I seem to have suddenly grown too dense to understand what I should use. They all seem to point either to linking a site outside of LJ or to a entire journal. I just want to place links to a post within a post on my journal. I hope I am making sense.
