Every 9 Seconds is a Queer as Folk based Role Playing Game. This is a Canon game and all events leading up to 513 have happened. You are free to take your characters wherever you'd like as long as everyone is on the same page. We'd like to keep our players anonymous so that Real Life doesn't create any feelings or anymosity between characters. The Mods are the only ones who will have their real life journals added.

POSTING RULES

Primary characters are required to have their own LJs, in which all posts should be public.

All posts should be in the 1st person, and addressing any particular issues the character is going through (ex. Justin - I can't believe how easy he is to annoy! All I have to do is pull up a vid. of two women going at it and he totally freaks. This time he actually ran two virus scans, as if it would actually contaminate his computer. I faked sketching as long as I could before I burst out laughing. I think I hurt something.)


*Note that characters that are listed here as Secondaries can be made primary characters, if you can justify posting for them once a week.


BASIC GROUND RULES

1. N0 tYpIng lIek ThIs OMGWTF!?!?!
Seriously. If you think the character is going to be more casual in their writing style, be casual. Certain characters *can* be assumed to write better than others, and this can show in private posts; just don't be annoying.

1b. (Attempt to) use proper punctuation, caps, and grammar when doing public posts.

2.Players are expected to keep a journal for their designated character(s), and update at least once a week. If possible, IM handles should be made up for characters, so that real-time RP can occur if desired.

3. Any conversations/encounters held via IM should be summarized and recapped in a public post, just so everyone is on the same page.


CHARACTER CHOICE

Membership must be approved by the moderators. If your request is approved, you will receive a community invitation to your character account. Please leave your e-mail address in your request on this post so we can e-mail you and tell you if your character is available.

The mods may decide to add more characters later such as Molly, Jennifer, Tucker, Calvin, Craig, Ethan, Chris Hobbs or Joan Kinney if there is any interest in these characters.

Once you choose your character, you must create a journal for your character only. When all the places for the characters are filled, we ask that you friend them so that we can continue the game outside the community and in the individual journals.

This is an introductory post, intended to give journal space for people's applications. Don't worry, this isn't going to be like the annoying clubhouse you wanted to get into back in the 4th grade but, NO!, Billy Donovan didn't let you in because he said your Jellies smelled.

To reiterate, please answer the following questions in your reply:

1. What character(s) are you applying for?

2a. What are some characteristics and qualities of your character, as you see it?
(Reply must be 100 words, minimum. Be as in-depth as you can. We want to know who you think your character is or who they could potentially be.)

2b. What do you see your character doing while here?(as in potential storylines, interactions, etc. This is tenative, and we won't hold you what put here.)

3. Have you RP'd before using LJ/Greatest Journal? IM? (It's okay if you haven't, really and truly.)

4. Compose one short passage(6 sentences, minimum) in 1st person for your character.
