    Holidaycheck Blog post
Holidaycheck made a Blog post of the loads of Reviews for the Ringberg-Hotel. Its in german, but really positive and awesome :)

    http://blog.holidaycheck.de/dreimal-gestiefelter-kater/

English Version (I am sorry for the mistakes, but my english isn't the best ^^°°):
No, on this picture you can't see the yearly convention of soccer-mascots, but a group-photo of the Eurofurence-Convention in Suhl. But why there are about 1000 as comic-characters dressed up people - and what does that mean for Holidaycheck?
This was my first thought, when I've seen this picture. And I think, everyone think the same.

After a few hours of contemplating about these animal-costumes, called Furries, I've found the phrase on their offical website: "A fictive being, which mixes human and animal behavements, and someone, who engage with them."
So it was possible, that the "Puss in Boots" and an Orc of Middle-Earth came together, with a pile of foxes and dogs, to create this picture, which I received in my mailbox.
    But why?

The organizer of this colourful pile, sent a circular email, to incite the people to write a review for this hotel at Holidaycheck. And so they did - till now, there are over 130 reviews over here.

That there are good and bad hotels all over the world, was logically. But that HolidayCheck arrived the comic- and mythworld, makes us really happy! Thank you very much and thumbs up!

    Mission Accomplished!
To all members of the security team:

    WE DID IT!  MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

I'd like to thank all of you for your outstanding performance throughout the convention. We're being flattered by kind words and phrases as "best security ever" from all sides - staff and guests likewise.

From the point of view of the head of security: You guys (and girls of course :) worked as professional as we could have hoped for. Our new style of teams worked out pretty well, sharing the workload among the team equally and increasing the enjoyment of everyone significantly. Some of you even outdone themselfs in their effort to give their best for our convention. I'm not stating names now, because I would forget someone for sure and all of you did a great job!

From the point of view of our guests: among the kind words we receive these days somethings really sticking out. Compassion. Our guests didn't see much of our work and that's how it should be, but of course there were things that couldn't kept behind closed doors. I'm not going to mention special issues as there were just to many but  our guests noticed the kind and compassionate way, our security treated other furs.
Many of you were unusual friendly and helpful even to totally unknown attendees. This is the behavior, that makes me proud to be a part of our culture - from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

    As for our current status:
We don't have many informations about our new location yet. Please refrain from believing and especially spreading any rumors, as almost non of them are true. As soon as we get more information we'll post them on the forum. Please also stay low with overzealous suggestions. While feedback and ideas are certainly appreciated, please do not jump to any conclusions.

Gyroplast and I were just confirmed to be Head Of Security for the next years to come.

During the next weeks the planing for EF 16 will kick in, one part at a time. Somewhere along the next months Gyroplast and I will recruit the new security team. Please don't ask if you'll be on the team yet as we don't even know how many seccies we'll need at EF 16. Don't worry, almost all of you will be accepted again if you wish.

Thus said, I want to thank my good comrade and friend Gyroplast for his patience and kindness. Whenever I thought I couldn't go on, due to fatigue or annoyance he had a soothing word or just a wordless hug for me. Thank you Gyro for our great teamwork!

    So long,
         Dhary

    I would like to thank:

*Comes on the crowded stage and takes the microphone as well then*

Dear attendees, with Eurofurence being nearly over, we would like to .... oh, wait... we've been there already. Well, I'm still trying to catch up on things. So.. with Eurofurence already being over,

I would like to publicly thank everybody in the Fursuit-Team for all the work they did behind the scenes.

Furvan: He worked like what seemed 48 hours a day. Helped with planning, buying materials, setting up the fursuit lounges, and at the same time prepared the multi-day event Fursuit-Gameshow.

Adrixan: Who only attended EF for the second time, but completely took over the GameShow, when Flutterby fell ill and could not attend.

Shay: The inexhaustible source of energy and creativity. He wrote the frame story for StageFever, spoke the narrator and vizier, was herding cats, err, suiters backstage while acting the vizier on stage. It wouldn't have happened without him. He also worked a lot with setting up the fursuit-dryer-racks.

Fawks: One of the main fursuit-dryer-builders as well. He worked on all the stage directions in the StageFever story script and put the voice and music files together. Also did the director part last minute, to coordinate things with our kind technicians Taibu, CJ and Cheetah. And of course you have seen him on stage. He acted the part of Aisha.

Eisfuchs and Pan Hesekiel: Despite being quite busy with the pawpet show, they helped us so much with recording the voices of Aisha and the Kalif Al Youcaneet.

Zefiro, o'wolf : For running around like crazy, being our stagehads.

Edelweiss, DinoEx, and other Fursuiters: For always helping when help was needed and keeping an Eye on the lounges.

    Fursuit Lounge
Whilst I do not wish to overlook passing thanks on to the entire staff for once again hosting such a wonderful event, I sincerely want to extend my thanks to those involved with supplying such a fantastic fursuit lounge. A lot of credit is owed to those that set it up and managed it. I never once went in there without there being space, drinks, snacks, head drying facilities, fans - you name it, it was there!

Space was a plenty, the idea of having two split rooms was great and from EF 13 to 15, each year it is obvious to see how much thought you have put into it moving it from location to location to suit the requirements.

Thank you all, it was much appreciated, and I am no doubt sure all the other suiters will rally with me in extending this gratitude to you. Job well done!

    To all the staff:
    To all the staff:

I can think of no words that would be adequate in expressing my gratitude, I can only say: Thank you - for delivering once again, the best, most enjoyable, most exciting, most memorable convention experiences imaginable.

You deserve every compliment, every credit, some kind of medal, and of course; a well earned rest!

Once again, Thank you for your efforts, congratulations on your achievements!
I shall certainly be back next year!

    Sights In Suhl
This'll be my first furry convention. I'm a bit nervous, and unfortunately I've been busy-ish during the week that was, so I haven't gotten as much planning done as I'd have liked to and I'm feeling rather unprepared.

But, I'm hoping to not spend the entire time at the hotel, and to be able to take in a few non-furry sights and experiences, and perhaps be able to take home a few non-furry pictures to show the family as well.

So I'm curious, what sights are there in the nearby area? Any buildings or museums of interest, any worthwhile shopping streets or centers, or perhaps some sort of an arcade or amusement park?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

This is a German translation of "What to Take to a Con" by Matt J. McCullar, of which the English version can be found here . I've posted it in this board because it might be helpful for those who are not as adept at the English language, so please excuse the crazy moon language down there. Tongue

     Juni 2007

EF membership and room available !!
Some of you may already know why, some don't. The fact is now I cannot go to Eurofurence any more, and urgently (since it's next week) need to sell my membership and room spot.

So it costs 228 Euros (322 USD).

The fees are broken down as the following:
    Basic Con Fee: 60E
    Paypal Fee: 8 E
    Early Arrival: 35E
    Late Departure: 35E
    Shared Room for 4: 90E

You are sharing a room with 3 other person, but they are friends and really nice. Also, this is a early arrival and late departure room, which means you can arrive already on the 25th, and leave the room only on the 31st. That way, you will not be trapped into the arrival and departure rush, like most of the people.

Paypal payment preferred , and more faster anyway, since EF is around a week from now.

One EF Registration + Hotel Space Available
Uma no kuchi kara - from the horse's mouth
    Hi all,

I have one standard Eurofurence registration and **HOTEL SPACE** available. It's not mine - it belongs to one of my room mates who is, sadly, no longer able to attend. You'd be sharing a comfort room with an extra bed with myself and two other fursuiters.

This registration/hotel space is for Wed - Mon so you can stay in the hotel for the Dead Dog party on the Sunday night. ^)^ The cost of this reg and hotel room is £170, which is what my friend paid for it back in February. The transfer will be handled through Eurofurence so there will be no messing about :)

If you're interested in buying this registration please email thehorse@bariki.co.uk.

    Best regards,
    ~Bariki

    charity needs your help!
    Hello dear artist or fursuiter

This year we are going to help the zoo in Suhl.
    And I need your help.

    Dear Artist,
we're currently looking for art donations.
Your works will be presented at a prime spot in the Eurofurence Artshow. And we even take the hassle of reserving panel space and hanging the art from your (back?).
So if you like to support this years charity with your art, please contact me at eosfoxx@gmx.de and tell me what you would like to contribute.
This helps getting an overview how and what space is needed to proper present your work.
At the con you can register charity art with the normal artshow check in.
This means that all rules of presenting art in the Artshow also applies to charity art.
Please help us with the charity again. Thanks to your wonderful commitment we helped a lot of ill little foxes last year.

    Dear Fursuiter,
parallel to Eurofurence the zoo, which this year's charity supports, is going to hold a big summer event. What a coincidence. ;)
And we decided to participate in that, so it would be wonderful if 6 to 8 fursuiters would like to join us down at the zoo and collect some donations from the visitors for being photographed with them.
There will of course be children around, so I'm looking for some experienced suiters that have no problem acting and interacting in crowds.
The Zoo management has organized dressing rooms, cool down areas, refreshments and snacks for us - I'll give you the details when you join in.
Looking at the so-far-set-up event schedule we would start on Saturday at 14:00. At 16:30 we'd have an all open fursuite parade which ev'ryone is free to join.
But please keep in mind that this is a public event, so refrain from wearing fetish gear, fetish suites or extremely scary ones.
We reserve the right to exclude costumes from the event if found inappropriate at any time.
If you like to take part the photoshoot please contact me at eosfoxx@gmx.de.

many thanks for all the help
    yours EosFoxx
